Hacking Hardware Mariko switch with Picofly not booting past Switch logo

Nope, problem was entirely with the HWFLY RP2040 "clone" because that basically puts itself between the emmc and the switch which is why it worked flawlessly aftee doing a bog standard picofly install with the cpu flex cable still untouched

Hacking Hardware Mariko switch with Picofly not booting past Switch logo

So now I tried to manually restore the partitions on emuNand with NxNandManager through hekates UMS and I atleast got a atmosphere crash screen now! According to switchbrew, the crashed title is the ETicket Service or es. 1692558697 Wouldn't boot into maintenance mode before, will try now...

Hacking Hardware Mariko switch with Picofly not booting past Switch logo

Yeah should have prolly made a backup immediately, but atleast I got my saves, prodinfo, keys etc. I already went through the switch unbrick guide but it didn't help and even the emuNand wont boot no matter what, always hangs at nintendo switch logo or black screens after atmosphere logo EDIT...

Hacking Hardware Mariko switch with Picofly not booting past Switch logo

Originally this switch had an Hwfly RP2040 Modchip and it worked fine for a bit when it suddenly caused slow emmc and read/write errors. Then, the switch no longer booted past the Nintendo Switch logo, both on ofw (on ofw the screen dims after sometime but still stays at the logo) and sysnand...

Hardware Switch not charging or docking but boots fine

Title basically says it, during a picofly install the rp2040 shorted the 3v3 voltage rail which is why the switch didnt boot before. After removing the entire mod the switch now boots again but doesn't charge or dock (the dock flashes green rapidly and only stops once unplugged). I checked the...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Alright I removed everything that wasnt stock(so my mosfet board and all the wires going to the rp2040), stole a cap from a non working rp2040, attached it and it boots again! Im pretty tired for today so I will propably try to redo everything tomorrow after work but I dont think I will be...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Thanks for the advice! Resistance on the right cap was 20.3ohms after installation. Is it really fine to blast the APU with hot air? 350C should be fine right? And pictures are coming shortly as I currently dont have the switch with me.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hey so I installed a one cap picofly mod in a switch because I think I broke the left capacitors pad (should I take the cap off?) so I only soldered to the right capacitor. Currently the switch does not boot and neither does the rp2040(no led at all). What could I test to diagnose it?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hello lads, im having a problem again with a picofly install, when pressing the power button the switch gives absolutely no sign of life, not even the rp2040s led is glowing. What could be the cause?

Opinion time: worth chipping a switch with missing peripherals?

I mean if everything else is working fine and you can actually dock the switch and are sure that you will never feel the need to use whats broken then go for it as you will still be able to play your legal backups of both switch and retro games this way

    Picofly AIO Thread

Ordering a normal carrier board for the mosfets rn to make the install a bit easier and save myself some headaches on further installs, will share the files if it ends up working and anybody would like it(not that it would be hard to replicate).

You would only know after installing it with 1 mosfet and then seeing blue followed by cyan on the rp2040 zero as this could indicate that you need a second mosfet, so I would suggest just installing both of them when you are at it.

    Picofly AIO Thread

Well I stole a 2.2uf cap from a spare pico I had lying around and it seems that the cap is attached again after covering the entire switch mobo up with aluminum foil and attaching it with a heat gun and a crap ton of flux however I am way too tired right now to put it back together and test it...

Continous beep on the right side, beep after some time on the other side. I tried booting the switch up but forgot to attach the power wires for the rp2040 zero and it booted to ofw, so then I succesfully soldered the GND wire and tried to solder the 3.3v wire but I just couldnt do it between...

    Picofly AIO Thread

Hm ok it beeped in continouity mode, I didnt check the resistance. So if the resistance is above zero, even for a short time, it should be fine? I will definitely check it out in a minute. 1683999706 Alright so the Multimeter beeped immediately in continouity mode but the resistance was about 21...

Hi, I just finished installong the mosfets and wired them to the switch but havent connected them to the rp2040 yet and I did a continouity test on the capacitor solder points and ground and they were shorted, is this normal or should I be concerned?
