Thanks SDIO, I will get read the thread you linked. I will try to learn as much as possible so I will understand better. I understand all of this has been a community effort- don't under estimate how much you've helped though. I appreciate your kindness and will try to help anyone else if I can...
Do you think it is possible to restore the mlc? too bad I didn't have a clean dump of it before it became corrupted by the previous owner. I have been doing some reading about possibly restoring the mlc with the slc/cache but this is probably beyond the scope of what I can do. I see what you are...
I see. Could you tell me how to run the mlc check? or point me to a readme file? I'm sure I did it incorrectly by loading the recovery file you provided on the sd card (same as I did the original dump)
Still working on running your recovery menu, I will try again when home. I wasn't able to get it to run on the console. The last time I had this issue, I copied to the sd card from my laptop instead of my PC. It's really weird, I'll retry so I can get the logs you mentioned.

Absolutely! Thank all of you for all the amazing work. Voultar- can't thank you enough for all you do. I was so excited to see you back on YouTube. (You are a celebrity in our household LoL. I'm new here and SDIO has walked me through and helped me learn so much. Just wanted to thank you and...
I didn't notice any retries. I could always try again though. I'll definitly try your program, Thanks for your help and input! I wouldn't be surprised if the emmc was bad. I figured I would learn a lot trying to repair this thing.
Hello, sorry for the wait. I finally got it. The card + operator error was the issue. I dumped to a new sd card and finally figured out wfs-extract. Seems to be alot of errors. Thank you for all your help SDIO!!!! which files do I need to upload here?

I'm going to try reformatting again with the program from the link you sent. I've received a new SanDisk 64 gb sdxc. I formatted it with the ridgecrop program and aomei - fat 32. When I load the sd and usb, the wii u shuts down after th initial wii u screen. I'm going to try to use...
Thank you, I'll give it a try. I used Aomei partition assistant to format it before.
- UPDATE... I was wondering if maybe I was over-thinking this. I googled maximum sd card size for wii u, and it says the wii u can only handle an SD card up to 32gb. If that were true, then a 32gb wii u emmc...

I thought the same... I tried another adapter and also cleaned all the contacts with 99% iso. In the mean time, I'll see if I can find another in a switch lite or tablet. I've heard of issues with original wii sd cards, but I don't have much experience with wii u honestly
Update- I have ordered a few different 64 gb sd cards (SanDisk and PNY) to give a little variety with compatibility. Last night I found a 64 gb patriot brand card and formatted it to fat 32 and copied the recovery menu over. When I run it on the wii u, it shuts it down evey time. I reformatted...
I think you are definitely right about the sd card. Definitely worth a try. If it comes down to the emmc, I hope kapton tape will hold the stuff on the other side of the board...lol otherwise it would probably get interesting real fast!
I kinda figured it might have had a nand issue. I got this wii u about 6 months ago. Then I figured I'd put it on the shelf until someone alot smarter than me wrote the magic line of code... I found Gary Odernichts udpih on github a few months ago and got curious about a week ago when everyone...
I see... I'm going to have to get a larger SD card then. You're awesome 👌 I didn't even think about that. I have larger usb 3.0 drives, but the recovery menu has to be run on sd right?
Hi, I'm away from the desk atm but I think I snapped a pic. I ended up merging the files into one. It was 4 mlc files at like 4 gb each. Edit- oh wow I just realized that my sd was 8 gb. I usually use a 32gb. When I dumped it, I put the sd card in my card reader and moved the files to my laptop...
Ok, thank you for you're patience. I'll give wfs-extract a try. Just to be clear- I'm using this tool to extract the nand from mlc?

UPDATE- I have run wfs-extract and after playing with the file structure, I am pretty sure I've got everything pointing in the right direction. When I...
I've been playing fallout4 all day, I went into a elevator and it kept going, never stopped, waited 5 minutes, must of been a bug. How bout you, whatcha do today?
