Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

It is rather strange problem that I encountered two or three times. Will you try to format OFW. It worked for me when there is too much data from previous owner of the console.

It is possible that when you are reflowing the emmc the LCD connector lose some connections. Check with the microscope. I find it useful to close the latch of the connector when reflowing, it tends to bend when it is opened.

I like the idea! You could use rp2040 tiny to eliminate those giant 0805 package resistors and you could use back mosfet locations to unnecessarily opening apu shield. This way everything can be on back side of the board and as a bonus you can decrease flex cables to one piece.

You can do it without cutting the shield if you want to, nice work btw 👍

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I am very excited to say that it works. I am using a stencil with a magnetic base. No warping or curling on the board. I have to just mention that the v-cut on panel makes the adapter little bit bigger you have to shave the edges a bit. See photos that I uploaded. I am planning to design a...

It is dirt cheap this way :D 5 individual or 5 panels like this are roughly same price.

That cap will not affect your console, it should work properly. Touch screen problem is maybe ripped flex cable of digitizer, upload some photos. You can use only one mosfet. Check the picofly guide.

In this case you can order the pcbs as panels. I ordered 12x9 panel and a stencil for it, with that I will reball 108 adapter at once and as they connected together there will be no bent I hope. Will see, I will let you know. By the way thank you again for sharing that working board, you save...

I will order 0.6mm did you try to change order? Like first emmc in breakout then whole thing into the console? It may help bending issue. Maybe you could use a coin to keep it in shape?

Yes I remove small piece of tape that sits on RP2040 IC. Without doing that the board will dangles.

I removed everything and it just booted to OFW. I think there was an issue with RP2040 Zero (I personally use double sided foam tape to secure in place but since RP2040 Zero has its core in underside I had to make a window to it with box cutter I may cut some traces. It’s just a speculation...

Hi all, I have strange (I was not faced before) problem. The RP2040 starts blinking blue (but not same as successful installs that I have) than throws *== code. All values are in range (0.415 - 0.450). One thing that I used V2 flex cable for APU not mosfet install. Is it because flex cable or...
