    I just updated it using the system menu. Everything was fine. There is no (visible) trace of any mods, although there's probably still CIOS2xx installed, unless the update stubbed them.

    Is it a problem that I cannot launch BootMii? I reinstalled BootMii (as IOS) and the Homebrew Channel to the latest versions. HBC is fine, but launching BootMii from the HBC menu just results in the video feed cutting out (black screen).

    I think Bootmii might already be removed, maybe by an earlier system update. I can't launch it from the Homebrew channel (console just stalls on a black screen if I try it).

    10 years ago there used to be a guide on how to do it. Dunno if it's still present and correct. If you understood IOS layouts, the process was basically just replacing modified IOSes with factory ones, using tools that allowed you to do that. Fun fact, I needed to virginize my Wii at one point...

    Haven't pulled out my Wii for about a decade. What's the current state of the official support and hacking scene? Is it still possible to: 1. Update the Wii? 2. Factory reset the Wii? 3. Hack the Wii? 4. Virginize an old hacked Wii?

    I thought it might be that, but how can you be sure? Isn't it more than 6 months since they stopped producing the older model? Also I read somewhere that Nintendo will swap older models out for a newer one for free in some cases. Is that still true?

    Argos via eBay is selling the Switch for just £215 when ordinarily, even on their own website, it retails for £280. Am I missing something, or is the eBay listing just a really good deal?

    @K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
