Homebrew RELEASE nsZip - NSP compressor/decompressor to reduce storage

No. Can you go be dumbass somewhere else? In the context of the discussion it doesn’t even make sense and is hardly an apples to apples comparison you fucking twat.

Hacking Question Updating a knock-off switch dongle

Looks like the board is missing the reset switch. If you soldered one on you can likely put it into flashing mode. It then may show up in your computer like the other devices like the trinket and switchme do over USB-C. If that doesn't work you may need to reflash it some other way using the...

Hacking My switch is on 5.1.0 am i able to add homebrew?

If you couldn't figure this out with a simple search, I'm guessing that no you won't be able to do it. I mean seriously this is the easiest answered question you could have asked.

Hacking How large SD card would you recommend?

It may be coming but I wouldn't bet on it soon. The Sandisk 200GB card goes for about $60 on NewEgg and a little more in brick and mortar stores like walmart or best-buy. Get it and you'll have room for most of what you need without having to switch cards too often.

Hacking Discussion Paper-clip trick no longer works.

Honestly you've either damaged your pins at this point or you're just a complete idiot. This is the easiest jailbreak to execute. If you can't handle something this simple without giving up, good riddance. It hasn't been patched, I did this on a switch I bought a few days ago with a paper clip...

Cool story? Buy another for this or STFU up then. It will always risk you getting banned if you play with this type of stuff.

Hardware Question about selling my WIIU

1)You can format it and Loadiine will be fine on your SD card. You will need to redo vWii. Why don't you just look on Amazon and eBay instead of being a lazy fucker?

Hacking MT Card 1.2 Update Bricked!

Yes but again my point is that it isn't universal and for the purpose of this low level flashing, I highly doubt it's pulling the full 500mah from the port. If anything, it would be easier for someone to accidentally unplug it, from my experience, when plugged into the back.

Hacking [DIY] How to fix Gateway Error 00000012 and 00000019

Heat the sticker with something low temp (hairdryer could work..) and peel and place onto parchment/wax paper. Prepare your soldering station, apply a dab of flux and touch it up. Reattach sticker and no more error. A quick and easy process.

Hacking MT Card 1.2 Update Bricked!

That may not be true and is only accurate on a case-by-case basis. I know some manufacturers have a high power USB port (Apple tends to be closest to the power cord) but this isn't universal and probably inapplicable in the situation of flashing this device.

Hacking [DIY] How to fix Gateway Error 00000012 and 00000019

I can also handle this repair as I have a lot of fine-pitch soldering experience from PS2, 360 JTAG/RGH etc. I would charge $5 plus return shipping which should only be about $1. So around $7.50 total including PP fees. -- I also see someone suggesting reflow soldering for this. That's...

    Hacking Super.Mario.Bros.Deluxe.EUR.VC.3DS.INTERNAL-BigBlueBox

Not entirely true. There's a tool on this very forum that would allow you to patch that ROM but you have to use a different tool because of the changed offsets for the save and other data in these NAND based titles(Mario Deluxe is technically a CARD2/eShop hybrid).

Hardware My 3DS XL's right hinge is starting to crack. What should I do?

I'd suggest super glue or plastic adhesive. If you're not familiar with small electronics, replacing the casing could be a bit of a nightmare. Instead just apply a little to smooth it over and prevent it from spreading. That should stop it and prevent any further issues. Not to insult you but...

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go
