It's most likely the battery, but... it's ALSO worth checking your battery cover. See if it is broken; there are two "tabs" that lock in into place when it's shut, and I have seen several where they only had your issues when they had the broken tabs (because it doesn't completely press the PSP...- Schlupi

I remember when I was young I used to LOVE the McRib. I am in the same boat as you... I tried it again two years ago and almost wanted to cry. It was horrible.
