- Has it be configured with the super slim yet?
- Does it have to be jailbroken?
- Since this can boot external I guess I'd be fine buying the 250 gb model?

-No not yet (slim yes)
-Please don't use the word jailbroken, that's iphone related. You will need your key from your dvd drive in order to make it work.
-You can buy what you want, you'll use an external like you said.

Alright I read on their site where they said it was support on the super slim.
