I've had my Switch for very long now since launch day and I haven't bought a grip for it.

I played primarily on portable the first six moths I got it but I now mostly play docked, there are still occasions I want to play in portable mode at home but the ergonomics of the Switch hampers my comfort and overall enjoyment.

I don't want to spend too much on a Satisfye grip or a Japanse brand one and I want one that can easily be taken off so that I can dock my Switch but it also needs to comfortable and secure (not protection).

Here are the ones I have in mind:

This one is a lot like the Satisfye grip but much less expensive with great reviews on YouTube: https://www.amazon.ca/Upgraded-Adju...=1&keywords=switch+grip&qid=1596316982&sr=8-3

This one looks easy to put on and take off. It's also compact and easy to store: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000416148008.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.6b10372bvRo3qe&gps-id=pcDetailCartBuyAlsoBuy&scm=1007.12908.131037.0&scm_id=1007.12908.131037.0&scm-url=1007.12908.131037.0&pvid=68a6a3a5-292d-4060-a65a-2999fb31d77c&_t=gps-id:PcDetailCartBuyAlsoBuy,scm-url:1007.12908.131037.0,pvid:68a6a3a5-292d-4060-a65a-2999fb31d77c,tpp_buckets:668#0#131923#0_668#808#7756#222_668#888#3325#16_668#2846#8113#700_668#2717#7563#540__668#3374#15176#386

Get the Satisfye grip as it seems highly appraised all over

But my wallet man, alright I grab the first one on my list.

It's basically a Satisfye grip knockoff.

I was thinking of grabbing a grip a couple weeks after getting my Switch, I was playing BOTW in portable for very long sessions but nothing at the time interested me.

But I nothing to compare it with to be disappointed, I'll go with the first one.

Thanks for your input.

Satisfye grips are phenomenal. I have the first gen/iteration. Still running strong. Nice grip, built well.

The first grip in your list really strives to be the Satisfye grip with extra features. Kind of funny, really.

True, I might just remove the stand when I get it.

The Satsifye grip is currently hard to buy in Canada, I'd have to order from Amazon.com and pay an extra $11 USD on an already expensive grip.

The total would be $55 CAD or basically 3x the price of the first grip on the my list ($19 CAD with coupon).

I would say satisfye if you're handheld hardcore gamer.. If you only play once in a while, just buy any thing that match your budget

I haven't ordered it yet, busy with renovations.
I ended up ordering it, the reviews I could find via Google were pretty positive. Should have it in a few days.

I know the Satisfye is supposed to be really good, but given the international shipping costs, it would have to be FOUR TIMES as good as this one, which seems like a big ask.

First impressions (OIVO grip): good. Nice snug fit, seems sturdy and well made. Bumbled around my island a bit with the joystick then played a couple of D-Pad games, all the controls seem nicely in reach. Less hand ache already.

So I'm really glad I got this. Have put some hours in now, various games with all control styles including twin stick, and it's comfy for all of them. My hands are really thanking me.

Amazon gave me a random 3 quid off voucher so I paid 12 quid, but I'm comfortable saying that even at the full price of £15, this is well worth it.
