Hello fellow Vita enthusiasts!
I've been using my 1000 3G OLED Vita for awhile now with SD2VITA and would like to swap my 3G module for the PSVSD module so I can use my game card slot again. Would anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to actually go about switching? I've already got the module and don't have any issue installing it, I mainly don't want to brick or make my Vita inoperable by accidentally doing something wrong when switching.

It's easiest to do with storagemgr config options in autoplugin, you'll need to delete gamesd if you have it, and in autoplugin just change UMA=ux0 and leave GCD blank since you won't be using it anymore but you can use both I have mine set to uma0 and set MCD to whatever you want I chose xmc0 but you can also leave it blank if you want make sure psvsd is installed and sd card is set up correctly if it's a new one or just place your sd from the sd2vita and it should work as is. As a safe measure I would also recommend unlinking the sd by deleting the id.dat just to make sure you don't get the format loop.

Thanks for the tips! I'll give it a go.

I just recently installed a spheresolid psvsd... it is fairly easy to do
1st make sure you have the proper size screwdriver as all of the screws are tight i almost stripped one of the crews holding the 3g board down.
As for setup, i already had autoplugin app and installed the usbmc by yifanlu plugin, it says (only for pstv but trust meit works) , i downloaded usbmc from VITAHOMEBREWBROWSER. After i installed the pcb and put vita back together i ran usbmc and followed the instructions, i thi k it tells you to run usbmc again and take out the Sony card and youre done,

I've set up 4 of these recently; yeah you want to use storagemanager as advised above, however when you remove the 3g adapter it will give an error message which is only removed using usbmcinstaller.

Note that storagemanager and usbmcinstaller do conflict with each other, so what you want to do is run usbmcinstaller once only to disable the 3G error, after it reboots if you have storagemanager active you will get stuck in a enso boot loop so just hold down L and R to bypass, then go into vitashell and ur0/tai/config.txt and remove the line associated with usbmcinstaller, then set up storagemanager as below via autoplugin.

MCD=uma0
INT=imc0 (unmounted)
GCD=unmounted
UMA=ux0

Reboot and you should be all set up and working.
