I don't know if I will, I probably won't but how hard would it be to port a game like SRB2? It's an open-source 3D sonic game that only has a port to the 3DS from ver 2.1, now 2.2.9. It uses the DOOM Legacy engine too, and I'm pretty sure that DOOM works on 3DS. What would be the learning curve and what skills would be required to accomplish it?

I do have a general overview thread
https://gbatemp.net/threads/can-i-aka-you-as-i-cant-wont-code-port-this-game-to-this-device.576997/

Though in this case if it is a vintage version of doom (and not one of the really fancy ones -- I don't know all the doom source ports but they can sometimes do interesting things above and beyond what the baseline ones and ones that follow along with that do) and the base game is open source then you are somewhere in the existing engine or even modding category rather than hardcore reverse engineering session followed by similarly hardcore coding effort to get it down to 3ds performance that most of these questions end up being.
