'Tekken: Bloodline' animated series to air on Netflix this year
An animated TV series based on the popular Tekken fighting game franchise will air on Netflix this year, the streaming giant announced recently. Titled Tekken: Bloodline, the series will focus on the story of Jin Kazama in his earlier years. A trailer was released for the announcement showing the show's protagonists as well as familiar characters from the video game series:
"Power is everything." Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Netflix hasn't provided an official premiere date for Tekken: Bloodline at this time, except that it is coming in 2022.
