I got an Xbox One controller about two years back to use with my laptop (I don't have an Xbox of any kind). It's supposed to have bluetooth support, but when I press the connect button on the controller the controller's light doesn't even turn on. The controller turns on and works fine when plugged in though.
I've updated the controller firmware to the latest version, too.
