Yesterday marked 13 years since I joined the temp. I really can not believe I have been a member of a site and active in it for so long and so consistently. Along with youtube these are probably the only two sites I still visit from back then. I have had a really incredible journey here, from a bit of a troublemaker who got warned and suspended, to irc staff, moderator, global moderator, Supervisor, former staff and back to Supervisor again. I think I am possibly the only person who was a Supervisor and retired for a few years and then came back. I have a lot of fond memories of the time I have had here and the people I have interacted with. It is amazing to think back to what the temp was and what it is now. To see how the site and the community has changed. But, it is sad to think of all the old faces that have come and gone in all that time, people who I thought would never go away but just stopped logging in one day. But at the same time it is good to know there is always someone new who is willing and able to fill the gaps these people leave and help this place live on and thrive.
One day we will all close a tab for the temp on our browser and it will be for the last time. But a new person will be opening a tab to the temp for the first time and the temp will live on.
