The Sims 5 early playtest has reportedly been cracked by using Denuvo token workaround

adsasdasddasdadadasdad.png

According to an insider source, hackers have been able to crack the newest Sims game, before it's even gotten a chance to leave the beta stage. Right now, EA is playtesting "Project Rene", an early version of what will likely become The Sims 5, giving a small handful of players the chance to try out the next generation Sims entry. One of those players with access to the playtest has done some digging around in the files and has managed to "crack" this build of the game. The user who made this claim is staying anonymous in order to protect themselves from any ramifications of cracking the playtest, but reached out to Insider-Gaming, reporting that they used a Denuvo DRM token generator to allow access to the game, even when offline, which isn't available normally.

The hacker says that cracking the game was an easy process, due in part to the fact that The Sims 5 beta runs on Unreal Engine and has zero encryption. It's not known if the pirated version of the playtest will be made available online.

-No, "everyone" said Vista was a memory leaking hole with poor compatibility.
-No, no one said XP was better for Win 7, because when 7 got out everyone was already installing cracked XP 64bits version because 32bits was aging like fine milk and was struggling like crazy, adding that no one wanted Vista because of a PTSD of its launch they all were waiting for Win7 RC 64 bits to release to be able to enjoy DX10 and Crysis in better condition than on Vista (And that the time 7 got out Vista already was patched like crazy with a solid SP1)
-No, when 8 came out everyone freaked out about the start menu, this slowed the aadoption, and to this day, for exemple, Win8 still have the best file search engine Microsoft ever made, searching stuff in your computer feels like the snapiest shit ever.
-Especially no for this one, when 10 came out it was the Windows with the fastest adoption rate, even more than Win 7; still is the fastest Windows adoption to this day IIRC.
-Again, no, when 11 got released, they had problems with processors compatibility IIRC, so it installed a fear of Win11 in the head of many, it crashed the start of win 11 but no one was stating that 11 was worse than 10, now it's been more than half a year that Win 11 boomed and is getting there slowly, but still got a decent adoption rate for such a rough start.

When Sims 3 came out, no one said S2 was better, it was more like a "aw shit here we go again" to again having to rebuy everything and getting a "dull" Sims 3 compared to the full of expansion Sims 2, I bought Sims 3 day 1 right after Sims 2 day one and when playing, Sims 3 really felt like a great new installement full of new stuff and a AMAZING open world.
you want to argue just for the pleasure to argue?

Many people has moved to the Sims 3 or 2 because the Sims 4 is just awful pay to win. Unfortunately unlike Cities Skylines is to Simcity, there is no alternative to the Sims.

If you want something cracked these days and the game is not popular get ready to fork over $500 USD for it to a specific person.
..lol If I had $500 to throw away to THAT specific Person, I wouldn't need THAT specfiic person

As others have said about The Sims Online, they did it and then closed it down after a year or so.

Not sure if anyone is aware but it still lives on as FreeSO (“Free Simulator Online”), it's a reimplementation of The Sims Online™’s game engine, using C# and Monogame.

freeso [DOT] org

It's not that busy but it's there and there are people playing it.

I hope we'll see some footage and also that it'll be better than The Sims 4.
Seriously 4 was such a downgrade compared to 3. The removal of the open world alone was such a backwards move.

The only good thing about the sims 4 for me is that it runs on my potato pc with high settings

The sims 3 however doesn't run at all 😆

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@SylverReZ its a single player game
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, Yea but it has a shitton of mods with their own songs and stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and quite a lot of people involved in those mods get cancelled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.
