Ah, moving day

oh boy, has it been a "fun" trip so far... let me explain something before I get started, My last blog post said I would be moving in January, but my father got a job opportunity with gulf stream, but it was temp with the possibility to go permanent.. and that was down in Savannah, GA. well we took the bait because we thought it was going to go permanent, went down there and he interviewed and got the job, but the economy was dead. So, he's been going back and forth by plane while I've been staying up in Tennessee readying the party van. fast forward a few months, and my parents have come to a decision, were going to Washington state, now! so, my dad comes up on his days off to help pack, everything seems to going fine, when we start to go and pack all we had going for the trip financially was our irs payments, which where done by H&R Block. go to get them, and were informed the funds aren't ready. where like, WHAT!? so we patiently wait another month basically while the "president" plays political football with government funding, saying that he won't release the funds until the "funding" of the us government is taken care of. so we FINALLY get our tax returns back and were all ready to go?

we go to finish packing our trailer, which I had packed previously not wasting an inch, everything was packed as tight as it could be packed. My dad says most of our stuff from inside the house will not fit, so we have to take everything out and go through all the stuff and see what is most essential to the family, and put the rest in storage for about a month, fly back and move it back across the country with another moving truck. I'm like, swell. but I don't complain. I just do as I am told, we finally get it all done, come back home and have to put everything back into the truck because the next day it's supposed to rain, hard. ... wake up the next morning take everything out of the truck to pack it up properly, never rains but it takes a few more days of packing to get everything we need into the truck.

wake up Wednesday at 6 a.m. finish packing up the party van and we finally, FINALLY get on the road in, cramed shoulder to shoulder 7 people in our little old suv along with what seems like a hundred blankets and pillows/backs. Get down the road about 50 miles west of gatlinburg, out trailer starts swinging sporadically back and forth. My father does his best to keep it from tipping and gets it under control, go out to see what the hell happened and both the passenger side tires tread had came off! it was just a shit retread job to get the tires sold. so, we limp to the next gas station, my father leaves me there to guard the trailer, doors agape and some of our stuff sitting on the side while he goes to get the tires which are "just five miles away" according to young woman at the gas station. he's gone for two hours, looking for tires, and dropping my mother off at the walmart for her to get some stuff for "later". he finally gets back, with one tire, and we put the tire back on, put everything in the trailer, go to front of the trailer, and there is a bunch of bags from the car. so I stay behind and stand there and guard it for another half hour while he goes and gets the tire/my mother. get the tire on, and guess what? my mother and father decide to put the trailer in storage so we can come back and get the stuff later, move it from our trailer which they now have decided to sell for scrap metal, to a nice shiny uhaul. by the time we get all of this done, after spending 3 hours "or what seemed like it" arguing about how to put all of our bags on top of the roof. which where in the very back of the trailer for easy access.. go to get a hotel and some food, get the food first, and they have two of my favorite restaurants there. white castles which there are none in washington, and ponderosa steak house. ponderosa for the wings mind you . :P ... ponderosa is closed, so we go to shoneys! ate, went to bed...

next day, wake up take about 10 bags off the roof, go and get everyone dressed, get on the road after my sisters are already starting with there snide attitudes go to the walmarts for some more bungee cords, my parents say they will finally get the power converter for us, 150 WATT! go to change my sisters diaper and I look down, guess what was in a bucket I had set aside for snacks? some wires, but I knew that was there, but what I didn't know was there was my dsi, guess what? my baby sister had basically drained her entire bottle of bug juice into the bucket, which my sister moved over underneath her while I was at the gas station with the trailer the night before. she could have just lifted it up, and set it next to her in the seat, but she decided to push it off to the side.. so after my sisters attitude from breakfast earlier and the subsequent fact that my dsi's been marinating inside a pool of bug juice for about 12 hours ALONG WITH MY NEW IEVO! a bunch of power cords and a brand new mouse and a brand new 16 GB class 10 micro sd card.

everything seems to work, but the dsi is toast, my parents both say that there going to get me a new ds, my dad says a new ds lite, and my mom says a new 3ds.. Idk what's going to happen, but I am just praying that it goes better. I slept on a roll away the wednesday night, and on a lawn chair thing last night because of the way that my family goes for rooms, my dad's been sleeping on the ground and is being stubborn. he's got an interview w/ alaska airlines tuesday and a job fair with boeing april 1st... MAN am i tired :|

sorry for such a long post, just needed to vent :P
