Any Whiskey drinkers here?

Japan is weird about things that are deemed "popular". Seemingly mundane things disappear off of shelves if it is featured in a TV program. One particular bottle of Suntory Whiskey (there are many) called "The Yamazaki", recently won a Best single malt whiskey (in the WORLD) award: https://www.forbes.com/sites/felipe...t-at-the-world-whisky-awards/?sh=441173624785

Now, I can get it online without much hassle, but I can not find it on the shelf anywhere, except for the occasional Don Quixote (sells a bunch of off-brand stuff, and I used to regard it as a discount shop... but it's actually not cheap for most things. The Yamazaki Whiskey is definitely cheaper online.).

Well... I finally let curiosity get the better of me and I now have a bottle of it sitting right next to a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label. It has a sort of sweetness to it... but I honestly can't decide which is better, between the two!

TL;DR

I am not the least bit disappointed that I bought this Whiskey. It's slightly cheaper than JW Blue, also.

Interesting. I do drink whisky too. I am a Portuguese from Portugal/Azores via in America. I enjoyed it a lot. There are several different names of whisky in Portugal imports over here but its too expensive so I went there for much much cheaper and affordable good whisky.

Have you tried Tequlia ? My two sisters loved it. Even many American here are drinking Tequila whisky which came from Mexico and taste really absolutely AWFUL! Its disgusting taste. I dont know why many American drink it. Its displeasedand disgusting taste.

Anyway, I am a lightly Portuguese whisky drinker but more into red wine and moderator Super Bock/Sagre Beers which came from Portugal too. An authetnic version of course. Delicious. I hope you enjoy your whisky too.
