We used to have one "box" for each type of articles: 1) latest discussions, 2) member submitted news, 3) blog articles, and I even wanted to have a 4th one for blog comments.
Well... 3 boxes was too many already so shaun had the idea to have these sort of tabs to switch between the different...
When hovering a topic link in the latest discussions box, you can now see the number of replies posted in that topic.
Pretty useful isn't it!
Expect a major update of the latest discussions box in a near future!

It's fully basically backwards compatible, which is good; but there are tons of new additions.
These sections impressed me most:

When you're reading comments of a blog articles, there's no simple way to go back to the user's blog.
Well we've just added a button that lets you do that easily.

Example:

Since we've been adding all sorts of BBcode tags recently, I thought it would be nice to have a little summary here. I'm pretty sure there are some tags that NO ONE knows about, even me.
