Blog entries in 2017.

This year, I have seen an up-rise on low-quality blog entries, even shitposts. I have made this entry to comment on my thoughts about this. These are my thoughts, not yours. Though, you may express your opinion in the comments below.

'Tempers, please, stop shitposting on your blog section. It is not made for this at all, and guests & newcomers will be able to see this, well, unless your blog is private, which is what I see as something rare across the temp, but it is quite frustrating to see someone I'm following and count onto making good-quality blogs do shitposts like, "My serious thoughts" with the description of "lol blah blah blah" and nothing else. If you want to shitpost, move to the EoF. I don't want to see your shitty blog posts on my notifications and recent content tab.

I know I can just ignore the said person, but I still don't agree the misuse of the blog section.

Satirical comments on the entry is fine, as long as the content is good enough with valid points. If you do not feel like your followers want the content, then don't post it. If you don't want people to know you in a certain way from a blog post, then don't post it.

I sincerely apologise if I'm just adding to the mix, but I just feel like expressing my thoughts. Thanks for reading.

@Felek666 yes, but it's just misuse of a section. What you're saying is similar to, "If someone shitposts on the General Off-Topic Section, don't do anything".

Eh... I dunno. I feel a shitpost wave from time to time should be possible, since it's funny as hell when it happens and is at least a better break from "durr school is hard/life is hard durr" posts that the blog post section usually gets filled up with.

The bandwagons happen rarely and most blog post are legit so i don't see your idea of shitposting. It's their blog, they can do anything and you have no power over them.

I totally agree, the good quality blog posts just get lost in the amount of pure crap posted, which is a shame as i did enjoy the blog from the guy who went to Pax for example.

A lot of these posts could be status updates their that short, sadly unless the staff agree and the mods enforce any sort of rules theirs not much you can do. I agree it does make the site look a unprofessional too.

My reply to your blog post is longer than several of these posts combined for example...

The blogs need to be better moderated. It's pathetic how much shit posting has been going around. The site is slowly becoming a cess pool for low quality trolling and unmoderated retardation. Borderline cancerous.

EOF and off topic exist for a reason.

Shitposting is not a "misuse" of the blog. You are wrong.

Yeah, because it's super easy to avoid when it's all over the site.

That post really does belong on the EoF, or if you want people to take you completely seriously, maybe act a bit more mature and professional?
