Coming Soon: Ace's CTDS Review

A couple of days ago I stated that I was making my own extensive Chrono Trigger DS comparative review/buyer's guide/opinion piece/overview in the comments of someone else's. It has always been my plan to do so, but the process has been accelerated because I'm frustrated with various professional and amateur reviewers thought processes.

Well, I'm nearly done now, I just need to write a couple more sections and get the necessary screen caps (when I said extensive, I meant it) and I thought for anyone who's interested I should keep you up to date. And do so without advertising within someone else's review. :P

For those who aren't aware, it will be done from two perspectives: The viewpoint of the hardcore/fan and taking into consideration the history, and the viewpoint of a new player or someone approaching the game with modern gaming standards in mind. So ultimately there will be two scores, and hopefully you see and agree with my thought process and maybe learn a little something about the history of the game (and gaming) along the way.

So, erm, for those of you who care, keep your eyes open folks. It's coming within the next couple of days!

the hardcore. why do you think he would make a blog about this, and write a full essay on it

Looking forward to it Ace! Sounds very interesting.

Well, a bit of both, really. I am a huge fan of the game, but I'm also a gamer who for better or worse was raised in the 3D generations (of course I played games back on the NES, SNES, Genesis, etc too, but not to the same extent). So I can see the games flaws and strengths from a modern perspective as well. I've always prided myself on being able to approach even the things I enjoy from an objective perspective.
