The Oregon Trail 3DS

Spending hours in the bathroom with a stomach virus shouldn't make you want your party to die faster.

It's a lame cash-in, and basically shovelware, but it's becoming my go-to time wasting game.

Have you never played Oregon Trail before? щ(゚Д゚щ)

Played the orignal Apple version. Have it on an iPod Touch I think.

I just shouldn't be happy every time someone gets dysentery.
Oregon Trail...shovelware.... GTFO OUT OF MY FORUMS
This is by the same company (Crave Entertainment) that gave us the recent Discovery Channel games (Deadliest Catch and the pinnacle of piss-drinking gaming itself, Man VS Wild).

There's no real strategy, the 3DS visuals are tacked on at best, and it's pretty much designed for the same mindset that would enjoy the Imagine: Fashion Whore series.

It's purely a time-waster. No thought required, unlike the original.

I'm not referring to the the original when I call this game shovelware. What part of that did you not understand?
So you're dumping on a game you play when you take a dump? :D
It's all about avoiding dysentary.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and nope the number still doesnt change
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
