I keep planning to bring this back, last one was in 2009! I was in the middle of doing something but life fucked up for me so it went.
However with me having a lot of spare time now I've started writing a few reviews for a possible return but currently the reviews are far too long and I'm not too happy but a return is further along than it ever was. Yes there is the Recommends feature but that is more of a brief review of a title and a lot of the times they are games that I feel are quite recent.
The old thing was, I write a few retro game reviews, others write a few reviews and maybe I'll put in the odd little feature about cancelled games or what not.
This "revival" should follow the same pattern and like before will be dependent on this community for content, I hope for it to be more of a magaziney kind of thing but I do actually want to do a lot more than just reviews and features. Main focus will be on gaming, this is a gaming community but there may be the odd retro movie/music review too thrown in.
I'm quite interested in doing a video podcast thing. I quite like the Game Informer Replay feature where one of them would play a game for a bit while a couple of other guys comment and sometimes that can be quite a funny thing to watch but not sure how I can do that over the net (streaming video to another person may lag) and I may not have the right equipment. I do know someone local who I used to work with who just so happens to be a member here so maybe we could do something HOWEVER if people here are interested in doing something like that for this feature and they live near members here than I'd welcome it...still that is just an idea.
Of course this is all dependent on if there is actually interest in a feature like this, otherwise what would be the point?
