Thats my opinion i was a gamer for a long time from nes years untill now i even had a psone a ps2 a ps3,and also had a snes ,n64,wii
and also dreamcast.
i am a gamer and i really liked the homebrew abilities of my consoles
i ve got some umds from the age of umds that i cannot play in my newer consoles wihout paying sony money,i also see sony trying special carts with sky high prices and also locks in every aspect of their consoles.i am not evil towards sony but as i am seeing it in the long time sony will kill the vita and blame hackers for it.
the market is full of competitors so if they keep trying to eat money without care for customers they will loose their income.
also nintendo with region lock is a dissapointment as you must have 2 consoles in order to play all the games
in the end it is sthe rise of ipads and android that will eat the piece of the pie....

my opinion:

ok sony, kill of the vita fast, release all sources etc, so this baby gets homebrew ready and then I'll instantly buy one.

OR

make it the first ever console you did make open source and it will probably sell like a ton once the hombrew devs have their mitts on it.... or something
