Why I am upset with Borderlands 2.

They fixed what was wrong with the first one.

Honestly, the only reason I can see me not liking Borderlands 2 that much is they don't have the hot siren from the first game playable in it.

Ah reading comprehension.
He's basically saying that Borderlands 2 is SO much better, he could never play and enjoy Borderlands 1 now because of it.

Ya, I know what he said and meant, and I'm saying, they fixed what was wrong with Borderlands 1. Borderlands 1 is still a great game and should be replayed through, but it was still an empty fucking place.

MY problem withjborderlands two is that I do not have it, Now let me play Borderlands 1 on ps3

I don't see that much of an marked improvement at all other than the characters being better. Half way through it and so far it's pretty much the same game with some changes but in snow.

Perhaps had I not played so much of the first along with it's DLC I'd like this game more but I just wish it was more of a substantial sequel instead of it feeling like Borderlands 1.5.

Also the AI seems to be a hell of a lot worse. Most of the time I can shoot someone in the back...and they still stand there unaware I'm there.

My friend hates the new characters. For some odd reason he says that none of them compare to the previous ones. I'd like to kick him in the nuts, but that would be rude. Meh, I get what you're saying on this one. Borderlands will never be the same after Borderlands 2. Gearbox has really outdone themselves this time. I can't find a single thing to nitpick about.

I love how similar the game is to the first. If i wanted something completely new and fresh, i'd play a different game series. Enough changed that it's worth playing. New characters, new bosses, new enemies, new environment. New guns. Sign me up for some of that.

I definitely couldn't go back to Borderlands 1 either. Granted I was done with it after my first playthrough anyway (got it at launch too).

One of the more notable improvement (and flaw, as you pointed out) is the AI though. For instance, enemies now actually move around rather than running straight at you (psychos in 1) or just standing there/moving incredibly slow (bandits in 1). But there's also that issue when they don't detect you when you can be standing right there, that's kind of annoying.

Not to mention the fact that they tried to balance the Assassin class this time around by a lack of snipers for the first 10 levels (or at least that's what I noticed during both my single and multiplayer character for the 360 version and my single player character for PC). Maybe it's just me though, I dunno. Like, in the first one I always found tons of snipers and I could generally one shot most enemies with crits, while with 2 I can hardly 2 shot with crit.

But yeah, I love Borderlands 2 more than 1 definitely. Will be playing this for a looong time.

I had a sniper from like...level 4 on.
There's even a quest way early from that awesome dude whose name escapes me, hates Claptrap. Gives a sniper if you give him the fur, and a nice one at that.
Forgot if it was from the quest or a drop, but I had a level 5 sniper with 180% crit increase, and I was still 1shotting things at level 12 with headshots, except big crap like Nomads and badasses. Tanky little buggers.

Haven't had any AI issues...but all I do is snipe shit, then run in and execute the rest of the enemies. About the only annoyance I had with the AI, is I swear to god sometimes the enemies can still see me when I stealth, and continue to shoot me.

When I meant lack of snipers I meant I only got 2 within the first 10 levels whereas in Borderlands 1 you start with one, and then you could find hundreds all throughout Pandora.

I'm pretty sure whatever sniper you got was a drop.

I'm dying to play this game, but I want to finish the first one's DLC first and I also don't have money ATM

Ah. Dunno. I think it's just your luck, I got quite a few snipers in my time. None beat my uber sniper though, but it rolled with some damn fine stats for its level...so that's a given.
Though one thing is certain.
SO fucking many pistols. Me and my friend both get about 60% pistol drops compared to every other weapon type.
...even my gold chest purples were pistols QQ.
