Can we respect upset Gateway owners?

Just FYI, I'm not one of those upset people. I am curious to how long we have to wait but you guys do not have to continuously bash on others who are complaining about no progress.

It IS their job at Gateway to at least give a small update. Give a little progress. Anything to let people know they are still working. People don't have to say "oh stop whining" because they are all customers of Gateway. Without the purchases of the customer, Gateway wouldn't have as much money. I feel that if you buy a product, you do have a right to speak your mind.

I'm not saying this just to annoy other people, but come on. People know their options. Either wait to see if they will deliver an update or purchase a Sky3DS. I, for one, would like to wait as Gateway's features are very useful. Gateway not responding to people's emails, as far as I've seen through the past few weeks, is terrible customer service and it's no wonder people are complaining.

I know that I'm still considered a newcomer on these forums but I've actually been around a lot longer than expected. I just made an account late. I just want everyone to respect one another's side. Maybe people are being impatient but I do agree that showing the Gateway working with the New 3DS XL months ago and not updating people on progress is bad business.

We don't have to fight over this. Everyone should just work together to figure out when an update will really come.

Honestly, buying something based on promises is even more stupid than Kickstarters. Just wait until they release support, THEN buy the thing. Is that so hard?

i 100% agree with that there was this game i really wanted on kickstarter (Rebuild 3)
and i was like holy shit i want that but i'm not sure if it will be funded so i didn't buy it!
untill it came on steam and i bought the Deluxe edition =w=

I personally think Gateway is a viable option for non N3DS that are on 9.2. My friend still had hers on 9.2, so I quickly recommended Gateway and now she's on the Gateway side. I agree that it can be a bit complex to setup and use, but since she has my help she'll be alright.

For N3DS I'd suggest Sky3DS, and it does what most people want anyways. Both do the same thing: Play 3DS roms and thats all you really need in a flashcard. But me personally I'll keep on "Gatewaiting" for N3DS support. I'll just accept the loss if anything, but I have faith in Gateway.

They've always been on top of new Nintendo updates, Gateway works fine on non N3DS and there's no need to update. I just think people who attack Gateway for being slow to release updates and are able to get a Gateway but got a Sky3DS for their non N3DS instead are nonsense. It's the N3DS support that's taking long, not the emunand support. They always released new updates to support emunand on the latest firmware.

I'm a Gateway person who doesn't hate on Sky3DS. I see it as a viable option for most users needs. So there's no right or wrong choice between the two. If my friend were to be on 9.5, I'd just suggest Sky3DS to her without a doubt.
Feel free to flame me, that's all I have to say about Gateway vs Sky3DS.

I Just got GW this year and have A LOT of stuff to play ... was like when I got my Fake V1 R4 for my DSlite and there was some new games that wasn't working there (and no custom firmewares, etc) what to do? be upset with the original R4 team just vanished like avatar or play the lot of games, translations and stuffs I could on that thing? lol
The same goes to GW, I have a lot to play, to do region free, to mod and translate... when the time come and if GW won't give support anymore, I would look for a solution ... I'm not siting here waiting news or beig crazy for answers :v i will use the time to work on that said above XD

They paid for something that they knew would not work.
They bought on the assumption that it would work "soon" - even though it was clearly stated that there was no date.

And now they blame Gateway for their own lack of patience.

Seems to me that the people who are oh so pissed here have only themselves to blame.
Gateway owes nobody anything.

Yes they should understand that they have only themselves to blame for their predicament and aren't entitled to anything.
They got on board hoping to bypass some price increase or whatever their reasoning was - knowing full well that they had no assurances.
And that means their complaints are baseless and pointless.

That does not give others any reason to continually bash them though.
As a reader and member of these boards, if you have a problem with their behaviour the best bet is to simply ignore them.
Not antagonize them... Nobody gains from that. Equally in return these people should not flood other threads with their own negative feelings.
And its up to the regulations of this board to deal with those that can't abide by the rules.

Its as simple as that.

I have a SKY3DS because I couldn't stand the wait and while I'm frustrated that Gateway hasn't come out yet, I completely understand the people out there who aren't able to afford both devices. I've been suggesting to all my friends because of this to buy SKY3DS cards because it's a simple matter of 'who knows' with Gateway and that's just a given based on the business model and product they sell.

Um, I only call people children when they act like to. If you really looked at my posts, I never directly bashed anyone, but I have been called "fucking retarded" and "stupid" for posting what, ostensibly, is the truth.

I'm hardly a troll. I'm calling the poeome who throw tantrums and treat others badly immature. Are they not?

I call people who expect something they don't deserve entitled. Are they not?

As others have pointed out in this thread, Gateway sold their customers exactly what they received. They blind bought, or bought because other people hyped the product.

It is their fault for buying a product that doesn't work for them.

They leaned a hard lesson, but they don't take any responsibility for it.

If pointing out these truths makes me a troll, so be it. I'm tired of how people treat each other on this sub. I do think many here are children because they act like playground bullies, and when challenged to think critically, resort to name calling.

If this is what GBATemp represents (it didn't used to), so be it. I'm done.

a lot o people that used ninjhax felt cheated by smea since a browser exploit to do the same thing and more was possible but not uncovered, or loaded in with GW , but there wasn't sky/gw/hacking asses wanting to troll who bought cubic ninja :v come on guys XD
If youw at to prove that sky is too supeior why don't give me a copy? I can test it and tell what I think :v

Well, they really want to shout from the rooftops that Sky3DS is already compatible with the New3DS and get as many people as possible to buy the product. That's how they make their money...

Sites like GBAtemp are almost the only avenue for advertisement for flashcarts. Everyone looking for advice to buy one comes here sooner or later. It makes sense to create troll accounts in order to hype your product, don't you think?

Just look at the OP. A brand new account, but of course "he comes here for years". LOL.

I don't give a fsck about either company. I own a Gateway and an OG 3ds and i am fine with that. I am just having fun exposing the trolls...

LOL . What a lame thread. Keep in mind guys that gateway was realease before the new3ds. And that gateway always support his product. They will update their launcher Soon(tm) without the need of buying a new 3ds card. They are working for sure atm. Just wait for an announcement from the team.

Some of you guys are acting like this is a thread that's about complaining about Gateway releases (as I can tell from a few of the post, this is NOT about that for the most part if we take a little time to read). This is about respecting one another and @Templar, A Sky3DS troll? I have a Gateway. There's nothing wrong with either so who is being a troll right now? I can honestly see the lack of reading from some of these post, but everyone else has voiced a proper opinion as to what they are doing during their wait. Good luck guys. We don't need to bash on each other because of what flash cart we have, or how long one has to wait.
