Hey everyone, just wanted to try out the blogging module of GBAtemp's website and it's pretty similar to the one I use on another forum I frequent.
I lurked here once every year or two to look for things relating to the R4DS and the Wii Homebrew channel but I decided to finally join yesterday because I saw that there was a lot more to GBAtemp than I thought there was and how relevant it is to my interests. I've already been welcomed by a plethora or really friendly people and I'm glad that I've been able to settle in so well. I love gaming, sport, music (rock music in particular, metal, alternative, punk, grunge and a bit of electronic and house), computing (wanting to improve my programming) and socialising when I get the chance to. I'm not such a big talker in real life due to a stutter but I'm working on overcoming it and it's going really well.
I'm also about to finish high school forever, my final exams start on the 12th of October and in total I have 6 exams. They finish on the 27th so when I finish my last exam which is Physics, I won't be able to contain myself. When I'm done with school forever, my mum wants to teach me how to do things around the house lol, I want to watch quite a bit of anime, tv shows and movies and play heaps of games that I haven't finished or touched yet (I have a collection of over 250 games that you can see here: http://vgcollect.com/Aidan25/), partying a bit, travel early next year, going for a drink with some mates and of course, sleeping!
I'd like to go to university here in Australia in March next year and do a 4 year degree called Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I love computers and everything about them so it's really something that I have to work hard towards now (and stop procrastinating on GBAtemp and rather study) so that that can be possible and I can do something cool with my life. Lately, I've been thinking about working for a game company at some point in my life because I love video games as much as I love computers so why not put them both together? It'd be cool to be a part of something that may make a big impact on the world and the video games industry and to possibly be remembered for it. There's so many things that the world has to offer that it's really hard to actually come down to a decision of what to do. But I'll find my way I'm sure.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll be posting more in the future about whatever so stay tuned for more posts!
