Nightmares

I've been getting nightmares for 3 consecutive times this morning. I can't seem to remember all of them but I do remember 2 of 'em

One nightmare was where I was sleeping in my bedroom. Ot was somewhat a lucid dream since I know I am awake. I heard weird voices and knocks. I tried to open my eyes and I can't. I tried to move my body but I still can't. I got out of this by forcefully moving my body in the nightmare and using my fingers to open my eyes.

The next one was a pretty simple dream at start actually. It was also somewhat of a lucid dream IMO. I was in school with everyone present. My fears were really present in this nightmare. My fear of heights, darkness and getting my things confiscated were present. I was only able to get out of it by remembering that I actually have no classes in the real world and from that moment on, I forced myself to wake up.

That was three hours ago. After that, I went asleep again and all was normal, no nightmares or bad dreams.

This situation happens to me almost everydays.

Getting used to that I guess :')

Sleep paralysis state is scary though :(

Sleep paralysis is an anomaly in a normal state called REM atonia, your body normally prevents movement during REM sleep to prevent injury. However, sometimes your body is in a semi-conscious state when entering REM and as a result, you can't move and you feel a heightened sense of danger. It's creepy as hell though.

Do you eat anything spicy or salty right before you sleep? I don't often dream, but when I do, it's 80% because I ate foods that contain these properties. :/

you talk of lucid dreams and sleep paralysis, do you use things like MILD to encourage lucid dreams? Because I've heard that a similar method called Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming (WILD) often results in sleep paralysis.

I don't even do anything to encourage lucid dreams. I just like having a blank mind when sleeping.

This interests me because I had a sort of a "nightmare" last night lol I dreamt I was apart of some jamaican gangsta group and they had forced me to rob a bank or they'd kill my son if I refused so I did it of course and as I was opening the safe with a drill my mind or my dream in this case went blank. I don't know why I dreamed that because I didn't watch any jamaican movies that night

but I did watch the cave which has nothing to do with jamaican gangstas haha it would've been nice though to have some winged demons eating people in my dream though ahh. :tpi:

I think what dreams you have depends on what you've seen or experienced throughout the day or even your life.

I've had nightmares but for some reason I like the adrenaline of it when things happen and when you wake up. I know they're scary and people who have sleep paralysis every night or two wish they didn't have it but I've tried to induce it to no avail, I usually just fall asleep trying. Maybe I'm just some twisted guy.
