While most people are focusing on today's gaming topics like what game is going to come out, what is the hottest PC of the market or things that are usually the vocal matter of the last years, i'm more the kind of person who is playing NES games, rather than any modern game of today, i sometimes play on my 3DS to enjoy some new titles, and i also like them!, but i'm more on the side of the NES, not because of nostalgia (Just to note, i didn't played with an NES through my childhood) but because the games are so interesting and enriching to play.
I'm on the minority who genuinely likes hard games, and if i can't beat them, i could just consult a guide, or hell, i just take my Game Genie, insert my code, and wuala!, which means, i'm not on the extreme parts of "I must beat the game on hard without guides and only focusing on my instincts" but also not on the other side with "Play Very, Very Easy where everything is slowed down to you".
NES games don't usually have a difficult system, only some cases (Like Mega Man 2) Incorporated one, but mainly, NES games had their difficult based on the design rather than just "Make much stronger CPU and add some random values to increase the difficulty" with today modern system of changing difficulties, so anyway, what i do enjoy the most of NES games is the simplicity.
For example, the Castlevania games are easy to pick and play, just jump and use your whip, or better yet, the Ninja Gaiden games, where you have to jump quickly and have the reflexes of a tiger, and well, i do also enjoy my fair share of Super Mario Bros. 3, and some RPG's like Mother, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and even Sweet Home, which is an RPG mixed with horror elements (Fun Fact: Resident Evil was originally a remake of Sweet Home for the PS1, and it was later changed to something different).
And that's it, this is my first entry blog here, i'm not the kind of guy who plays modern games, and if i play them, it's most probably to happen on a Handheld like the 3DS, i'm what you would call a Retro Gamer, a being that mostly focuses on games from the Past, rather than New things, i mostly play Nintendo Games, but when i have the time, i can connect my PS1 or PS2 and play the shit out of it if i want, that's the farthest i ever went for now, i hope i can find some users like me who appreciates retro games not only for the fun to play them, but also for their history.
