I don't only buy food - I dumpster dive it too. . . . woah dude i totally thought you were gonna say food pantry or you do the extreme coupon thing . . . but dumpsters dude when was the last time you washed out the trash can in your own home? . . . and you are gonna trust that the dumpster is a safe place to find edibles!
I don't buy clothes - I already have clothes that are comfy, why buy new ones? . . . dress to impress . . . even if you only impress yourself . . . also when you look good you feel good

I could see people masturbating as a release with no particular desire to go further, though "not to mention you said you fantasize about a gf" might trouble things. That said if you have not bothered to do the relationship thing before then contemplating what it might be like (we are told it is something to seek by basically everything) could see something similar arise. There is probably something to be said for "try it before you dismiss it", and that might also vary with age as well; if I based my opinions solely on 17 year olds I met when I was 17 and dismissed it at that... probably would have been fine actually but it would not have been wholly accurate (people never seem to stop being crazy, the crazy just changes form).

I have a piece of wrapped beef in my fridge, I moved it to another shelf about 20 minutes ago. Did not feel the need to wash my hands afterwards. The same applies in reverse. Equally have you been in warehouses, supermarkets, containers in the back of lorries or seen the germ results from a trolley/shopping cart? Filthy would be a step up for most of those places.

There are plenty of safe enough ways of obtaining things via less than legit means.

The TV set is presumably a one time affair (I saw TV rental still exists the other day but hey) and free to air is not the worst.

Between wifi, IM and pay as you go (I know not as much of a thing in the US) you can have a phone as a more passive tool, should you want one at all.

The amount of people I see that decide to jack in the high power jobs and take up something "simpler" is staggering, I can fully support doing the reverse before that horrible ageing nonsense takes over and makes things harder. Granted most people really going for it there had the mortgage, kids, career and all that jazz before they realised it was not really for them. Very few of those leave that world with enough that they are just messing around for fun either.

I can't afford a helicopter, I would also say I don't need one. Slightly more seriously there are some very fancy machine tools I would like, however I lack the funds and space (which is just another take on funds) for them. I still have plenty of stuff I can make/fix without it though


As long as I am not expected to be impressed I have no problem with people going in for the fancy job, fancy house, fancy life but at the same time I have no problem with people choosing a more passive approach to life. Now whether it applies directly to the OP in this case I do not know, however I would not deep it impossible for it to be the case.

shit i have worked in factories that produced frozen dinners and also a separate factory that produced Hersey products and totally understand the disgust you hint at . . . i bring sanitary wipes to the market and i (as a result of my knowledge of how many packaged foods are made/handled) wash all my fresh fruits and veggies before i put them away (still could be o.c.d.)

this is so true but the self imposed limitations of a loners one room one room life are too great true you dont die from not socializing but humans are social creatures so one may feel the need to die if one kept himself from others for too long

again i was not referring to the "suited" world although i get your point anyway while i agree with it point you are trying to make. the takeaway as a reader is that its ok not to attempt atlife because the result may not be whats expected and that i cant agree with

@FAST6191 everytime I get a notification that you've responded to something I know I need to get my glasses ready and grab a snack.

I consider myself half-NEET. I only go to school and do nothing else, and school takes only 4 hours and very little effort. I have over 12 hours of my day to spend with whatever I want and I get money by freelancing and from my grandma. I just wish I had more incentive and reason to go out more.

Well, no I wouldn't want to be NEET forever. It just would be nice for a month or two.

Currently I'm reading Junji Ito mangas for free, I also got Pokemon GO and play it occasionally. I will go dumpster diving now with my bike and also catch Pokemon at the way there. And again because retards exist: The food is packed and still edible. Retail stores throw out a LOT of good things, many of them aren't even expired.

Though containern.de (a freeganism forum) went down, so I can't present them my findings.

What else will I do? Uhm well, I started playing Pokemon Black (pirated it) and got 4 badges, I should continue playing sometime. Danganronpa 2 (also pirated it) is also on my to-play list.

For the future, like I said before, I want to make some money so I can move out and live on my own. Just enough money for the rent and taxes, I don't need more. Though how can I make money? I don't want to apply for a job.

Working can be a pain in the arse but whatevs, I get paid at the end of the month and they pay into my pension. I do wish the taxman was kinder on me.

Financial independence is super fantastic. My boiler broke and I spent a grand on a new one. Super straight forward and I have an awesome shower now.
