well. they probably will say "user error" you left the auto renew check box..
and in fact i also think you just over looked the checkbox.. specially since you paid through paypal, when you get redirected to paypal there is a checkbox that says you aprove the monthly subscription..
the layout is slightly differnt than a 1 time payment...


anyway, protip. for any service that is a subscription, unless you really use the auto renew feature, unlink the damn card.
why leave the card details on a site\service you don't plan to pay every month\frequently..
you can always add the card when you want to pay with it again...

Full story yes. And legal ahhh.
When you add a credit card to your ps plus account they automatically sign you up for auto renewal.
My card expired in 2014 so since then i have just been buying perpaid cards. It expires and a few days later i buy a card.
Last year (dec 2016) i added my paypal account to download some DLC.
Well they took this as a default payment. I never mark it as default or save the info. Which they used to automatically charge me the renewal fee.
I call them up and talk to them about this. At first they try to just refund the money to my sony wallet. (does me no good here) talk to them some more and they said they can refund it to my paypal account, but it will take 3-5days.
So money comes out my bank account Monday. (feb 27) then 3-5days later (wed or fri 3/3) they refund it back to my paypal. Then paypal takes 3 more days to refund that back to my bank account.

So yea i gotta get $60 to put in my account by monday night to stop an overdraft fee. That happen on tuesdays.
And then thing is i dont get paid until Mar 1 which is when i was going to renew it.

And i dont see how they funded my sony wallet to do this renew process. When that option isnt even on because when i try to get my DLC they told me i didnt have anything in my sony wallet and to add money. But either way this is crap.

Hopefully ill be able to get the money in my account to stop the fees.
And i removed my paypal account from there. also check the settings and nothing on that account is setup to auto funding. Everything was setup to need password and sign in

Its not a mess up on my part. Its on there system and setup.
I know its not the end of the world but its pure crap. My account has been setup to only use money from my sony wallet. I did this long time ago when sony had everyones infor stolen.
So with how things where setup they should of try to auto renew and my $0 wallet would of stop that. But they auto funded my wallet to cover the auto charges.
Thats a bit to much.
I have tons of other stuff that auto renews and they always email me a few days ago head of time and renew from my account and if there isnt enough in it it doesnt go though.

But ah ill live just a bad start of a very long day.

You could probly get your 35$ back if you complain to them long enough about you didn't sign up for a autopay, and how your are in tight spot with money.

My bank reversed overdraft fees from Koodo. Even though I had $1~ less in my account than the bill my bank charged me 3 overdraft fees and then Koodo charged me overdraft fees too. Let's just say my bank reversed the payment and fees and I never paid Koodo either lol.
