Brexit! Brexit is not only a victory for UK but for a free Europe from EU!

What I said on the title, I can't really say in real life sadly just because I don't want to get punched or physically attacked and be called "racist" or "Nazi" but by suppressing myself, it's oppressing free speech. Such a shame Europe doesn't have the 1st and 2nd Amendments as the US does.

I've been following the news of how fucked the situation is in France and I hope to god that Le Pen wins the elections.

@skawo
Why would you get punched for saying that... if the majority voted in favor of the idea?

Everyone having second thoughts?

Trump won too, but it's dangerous to say you voted Trump in the US.

This really shows how stupid people can be.
Also, you should explain your reasons to say all of this. I mean, everything can be missunderstood, or maybe just the other way around.

The EU might get stronger but only for those within the group, because the damage they've done to the European countries has been absolutely horrible. France, Sweden and Germany are proof of that.

That's what France has become. A lawless jungle.

lol, do you even know what you are talking about? France and Germany are both founding members of the EU, and they are its most influential countries. If there is a "group" that's benefiting from the EU they are at the centre of it.

Plus, all the countries who complain about EU are those who benefited the most from it, which is complete BS (ie Poland and Hungary)

Says the EU is the reason why countries who founded the EU are in turmoil :hrth:. Isn't that just a really backwards way of saying the reason is themselves? Oh wait then you can't blame the EU for everything :ha:

the reason why i dont want the EU to collapse is, since my grandpa was from spain i could easily get the passport for spain and since its a part of EU i could go somewhere like Germany.

So yeah, thats my selfish reason i guess.

I just don't get why people want the EU to dissapear. The EU was created to improve international connections between countries (meaning better trade and better acceptance between countries) and most importantly, it resolved the issues between France and Germany (which were the two countries responsible for most of WWI and as a result indirectly for WWII). Combine that with adding in an international currency, which resolved the issue of constantly having to switch around your coins whenever you go on holiday/import something from another EU country, the EU has brought nothing but benefits. Although it isn't perfect (sure there are issues, and the EU should definetly be more influential IMO so that it can resolve them), I personally support the EU.

Having said that, more specific to Brexit, you do know that the economic motivations for Brexit were based on lies right? The Brexit will not cause any improvements for your country's economy. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, some major companies left Britain because of the Brexit.

I'm just happy that in my country Wilders (PVV lijsttrekker and essentially Trump before Trump became popular) didn't get the biggest seat (second-biggest, but he still lost to the VVD which isn't that bad of a party).

Being from a country that has a federal and state level governments, I can tell you there are benefits to havin two governing bodies keeping each other in check. If your politicians pushed the Brexit, you can bet it wasn't for the benefit of the British people.

David Cameron pushed the Brexit referendum only because he was going to lose the elections and that he needed something to be able to be re-elected. But he didn't expect that people would actually vote for the Brexit.

surpressing yourself is not oppression of free speech. and you do have the right to free speech in the eu too.
you're not getting hit because you support brexit, nor does the state put you in prison for it (unlike say, in russia or turkey, where saying the wrong thing can land you in prison)
but you're getting called stupid based on it being a stupid move.
europe loses one trading partner, britain loses like 26. bilateral trade agreements will be more expensive for britain, if only because they will have to pay tariffs on everything they buy outside of their little island paradise.

not to mention financial institutions leaving... you'll still pay the eu, but you wont get subsidies, access to its market, the chance to seek work outside of GB etc etc.

The only thing I can tell to the OP is to get out of your comfort zone, outside of your small cave, go live in other places in the world outside of that four walls you live in, specially in places of Europe you think you know about, then after living the thing yourself comment. It is somehow outraging how you can build an opinion based on youtube and yellow press, or how your hero calls it rightfully "fake news".
And it is also puzzling how can you say Germany, where living is the definition of peacefulness and highest living standards itself, might be the "proof" of the damage the EU has made to a country. Bullshit.

There are refugees who are afraid of dying if they aren't allowed to migrate from a war zone and you're afraid that you might get called a Nazionale for supporting Brexit

Ok

The funny thing about that is the rebuilding of German industry is what pulled Europe out of the economic oblivion they were facing post wwii.

The funny thing about that is that Europe actually destroyed Germany's economy after WWI and now they're the ones saving Europe
