His failure to comply is what got him arrested, not his speech. And the charges were later dropped. Took me like two minutes to look that up.

War is peace, Freedom is slavery, Free speech is anything a liberal approves as not racist.

Islam is not a race, it is a religion and criticism of such is entirely valid or Hitchens would of been imprisoned for life for the things he said about Christians.

Yes racism and personal attacks are entirely protected by free speech. Just ask any liberal who endlessly accuses people of being a Nazi or racist. Inciting violence isn't but we don't have time to delve in the numerous types of speech you're okay and the U.K is okay with banning.

Unpopular speech is the only speech that require legal protections, popular ideas and speech require no protection.

I am very happy that Britain will be leaving the EU because honestly good fucking riddance. Britain was toxic to the EU. Other than their help with the Central and Eastern Expansion. The golden age for Britain is loooong over anyone who thinks Britain will be bigger than the EU or even on the same level as other major countries is kidding themselves. And lets face it. Europe doesn't need to get fucked by the 2nd Amendment. The U.S keeps getting fucked by it. I mean when I lived there I just grew numb and tired of hearing about mass shootings. Personally it pissed me off after a while. Why did it have to interrupt my shows. If it was so important people at least try to care. Why cover something if nothing will change? And the only thing that makes me sad about Britain leaving is that it will make it muuuuuch harder for Ukraine, Bosnia, and Georgia to join the European Union. But if Brexit helps eventually unify Ireland and or free Scotland; I will love it even more~!

The only things that are not free speech is direct credible threat of violence or inducing a panic "Yelling fire". Anything beyond that is not freedom of speech.

"Meh feelings" is not protected, if that were the case we would be rounding up atheists for the things they say about Christians, liberals for what they say about Trump supporters, Conservatives for what they say about Californians or any other group who has control of the enforcement of law at the moment.

No one has ever been arrested or prosecuted for racist or xenophobic language in the United States period. And that's because a body like the U.N compromised of mostly dictatorships doesn't believe in Freedom of speech.
