Should I complete all the shrines in BotW? *POLL*

So I'm guilty as charged, bashed other players for completing or trying to complete all the shrines as no life losers. However, I've played the game since 3 days after release and I find myself having complete 90 shrines. If there are only 120, I'm getting up there. Close enough to make me consider beating them all (I never thought I'd find this many but yeah I've got 15,000 rupies in the bank with all kinds of clothes, I've played a lot). Thing is, I think I have found most (but not all) of the fairly easy to find, out in the open or not too badly hidden shrines. It's probably mostly shrine quests and nasty hidden ones at this point. So the work to finish the last 30 is gonna be harder per shrine than the first 90 that came naturally to me with normal play. And I may need a guide to help me.

So I gotta ask, should I complete them all, or not?

(I've got like 100 korok seeds, and no way in hell am I going for 900, I just do the ones I bump into and also know how to solve)

I did all the shrines, the armor is real.

I set the shrines and a upgrading the armors I like as my personal %100 completion because no way in hell would I try doing all the Korok seeds unless it's going to open up a secret deku tree dungeon and having to fight the deku tree himself as the last hidden boss.

did you do all the side quests?

No, I haven't gone to Ganon yet either, I am still doing some upgrading and stuff. I am not interested in all the side quests because a lot of them are kind of "meh".

I find the shrines to be fair approximation of a full completion.

I've seen all the content/mini boss's, got the good armors, rode a bear & lord of the mountain, all memories, all shrines that's good enough for me. I'll do a second play thru when the hard modes out.

I did everything before going to ganon and it was great but I would use a guide to find some of the shrines because looking for one too long will throw you off and get boring. I wouldn't use one for any other reason because figuring out the puzzles are fun.

i don't think i'm going to bother with ganon 1st of all there's about 50 of them guardian fuckers around and i'm low on AA and can't be fucked farming for more screws and shit to make more. 2nd i've sort of read about the fight with ganon and the 2nd part seems like a pain since it has
horses.
which i hate in this...
i've practically checked out of this game for now think i'll just go watch the videos on youtube to see what happens.

Complete them shrines , with a guide if you want
But dont waste time trying to find korok seeds , the reward you get for getting the 900 korok seeds is pretty shitty

yes , pun intended

I guess it's up to you what you like to do, and based on the reward you get.
so,
all shrines = armor
441 seeds = all upgrades
900 seeds = shitty reward ?

If the armor is useful to you, because you didn't beat the game yet, or still have issue with fights, then look for all the shrines.
I suppose following a guide if you are past 100 shrine is easier. It prevents you searching all the world again.

Personally, I'm taking my time exploring each new area I unlock. I like doing little missions instead of following the story right away.
I often stop playing when I complete a game's story, and don't bother coming back to find missing items or complete remaining missions, so I always do them first.
I'm still at the third map (second town, 30h of game) and still exploring all the visible area, still finding seeds and rocks everywhere.
I hope I'll find most shrines without a guide. if some shrines appears only on blood moon, it will be hard to find, unless the detector is ringing even without blood moon, cause I found a place like this with no shrine around. it's suspicious and annoying turning around and not seeing it. but maybe it's just me, not searching correctly or doing what I have to do.

900 is still a bit much IMOP. I think they could have done other things to make the game more immersive such as:

1.) Having forges to repair / upgrade weapons and shields, ( metal ones. Putting a stick in a forge wont make it better)
2.) Make your own arrows. ( Have them almost never drop )
A.) Different sticks
B.) Different feathers
C.) Different heads
3.) A lot more recipes.
4.) A lot more side-quests.
5.) Hunger meter.
6.) Thirst meter.

I believe all of this would have made the game better, and really, the reward for finding all 900 is more of a slap in the face. You should get the maracas, and they should give more damage than the master sword.
Please no. No hunger/thirst meter. It's an open world action adventure game, not a survival game. Weather conditions are already annoying enough, a hunger and thirst meter would just give you additional mundane tasks that have to be completed on a regular basis.

I did all 120 shrines, I have 151 seeds but really can't be bothered.
Unlike the shrines that at least give you a decent reward the Korok seeds just isn't the same. I don't really have a need for slot upgrades either.

Do it if you want to, if you want more out of the game do all 120. If you feel done with it, don't.

I have only come across one blood moon shrine, and it did not ring. However, if you pay attention, you won't miss it.
It's a shrine side-quest, and is obvious when you find the place even when it's not a blood moon

About the detector ringing when you don't see any shrine: The shrine is probably below you. Inside a cave or behind a bombable wall, behind a waterfall or something like that.

Killing guardians does not require ancient arrows lol. The first thing I did after getting off the great plateau was kill a guardian stalker and some sitting guardian to take the tower for Hyrule Castle area. The four conventional ways to kill a guardian are:
1: Deflecting the beams back at it with your shield, works with any level of equipment, 3 hits to kill stalkers, 1 to kill decayed sentry.
2: Shooting its eye by either foot and bow, or jumping off your horse if you brought one to slow down the bow-shot, then proceeding to cut off all of its legs with a decent weapon, then going for the body after it has been.... DISARMED!
3: Pulling out your Master Sword (or use a bow if you never have full HP, but you'd be better off shooting the eye), fire out a sword beam or two to break one of the legs and repeat option 2
4: Ancient arrows, but why use those in the first place?
5: Don't quote me on this but if horses can damage guardian legs, Ganondork's horse might be a great option.
And for the cheese run, I recommend, but haven't done myself,
Stasis will stop the Guardian lock-on, and it recharges faster than the Guardian Stalker Laser, in fact, stasis lets you cheese most enemies, it's like a free flurry rush.

i know how to beat guardians easily (throw bomb to stun, cut legs with MS and than throw bombs and keep shooting eye with arrows.) but there's just so many of them at the castle they're just in my way and can't be bothered going through them that way easier just to get rid of them with AA. but than i have to farm for materials again such a hassle...

Do you have the time? (yes) --> Is it fun for you? (yes) -->
Then go for it. If no to either question, then don't.
Try not to let the internet masses determine your behavior, it leads to bad things (and not the fun kind of bad things, just bad things).

Yeah wtf was that all about. It was asking a personal question, about a switch game, in the switch game forum, and it quickly morphed into a discussion about the shrines in the game. Totally on topic imo.
