Just had an amazing thought

Basically, if you don't know what a lucid dream it's where you're aware you're dreaming during a dream, and you gain some sort of control over it. All of mine so far have been where I was dreaming about school and I realize that I'm not supposed to be at school (weekend/summer holiday etc). It's a pretty amazing feeling, one of them was so vivid I could feel my legs swing around and everything :P One technique is to do "reality checks", which are a bit invasive of your normal life but basically you try to do something that wouldn't be possible outside a dream multiple times everyday and I think you know how that works. The important part is that you don't have to do anything while you're trying to fall asleep, which is how I came up with my idea:

If you did reality checks often enough and entered a coma, you would have loads of lucid dreams + not have to live shitty life irl = living the dream

Cool, personaly I would like to make my dreams come true here and now, no matter what life brings. If there's no limit, there's no play.

Lucid dreams are seriously awesome. That's honestly a pretty sweet idea though. I'd love that.

My lucid dreams are either retarded or completely perverted.
Sooooooooo... goood ideas tho.

The most basic reality check is try to read something. Apparently your brain can't create legible text so it will be a complete mess.

Anyway I find it all quite boring. Much prefer the ones where whatever strange maths and physics I have been reading up on merge to do acid trip

I disagree. I certainly can read when I dream, and the texts are as clear as they could be. If I were to check reality, I wouldn't try to read text or read time from a clock, as they will appear perfectly normal.

One time I had a dream where I was at school, but was partially blind. I kept going through the day trying to figure out why I couldn't see. I figured out that my eye was slightly open, and I was staring at my wall. That's the only time I've ever had a lucid dream.

Once I had a lucid dream and I went "Mansion!" multiple times but it wouldn't show up and then I woke up. Never had a lucid dream since. :(

I did this many times, the reality cheks must be something you really do in your daily life... then you're going to do in a dream as an habit and you'll realize youre dreaming! Its so cool to tell people youre dreaming and they are not real... they never reply, they change the subject!!! lololololololol!!!!!!!!

it happend to me last winter. I somehow was aware it was a dream. From that moment i controlled what happend next in the dream. invincible too :D. This is how it happend to me: I just layed down cuz i was tired from school. Then kept thinking things. Automatically from there i fell in sleep.

@Jacklack3 lol that's not how it works, you have to imagine it in. I think doing more significant things takes more effort, when I tried teleporting to random places I really had to strain, same with making it rain stuff. But in my last dream, I tried controlling what other people do and it took no effort at all

Well I think I remembered me trying to think of a Mansion, I even did like hand gestures for where the mansion would be. I mean, it could've also been a dream of me trying to lucid dream. idk

Hey guys, so-called 'Lucid masters' you're educating everyone like ya mastered it over years.
No one knows how this happens and why we do literally the most retarded things in these dreams but HEY IT'S FUN

I was so in the habit of checking light switches when I was younger, that I still trigger lucid dreams now. The difference now, is that I usually freak out and have false awakenings. Worst case I'll have sleep paralysis.
