i need some opinions on my (plain) desktop

I want to do something else with it but I don't know what, I don't particularly want to have desktop icons since I just use the Openbox menu to launch the programs I need to run.

I posted a very similar picture in the "post pictures of your desktop" thread a little while ago, the main difference was that the taskbar was completely different and was on the bottom of the screen.

I was trying to change the top left icon to the SpaceFM icon, but tint2 is being iffy and only wants to display a small selection of icons from a given icon set. It won't display the extra png images that I ask it to either, it's annoying.

Hmm, that is a weird quirk, some quick googling failed (I bet that I am searching for the wrong issue) too. I guess you could replace your panel, I heard a lot about lemonbar or whatever it is called.

I like things plain and simple. I like things organized because I hate sifting through clutter.

I give your desktop a desktop out of desktop. It is what it is.

Good one! I like clean desktop too, but not that much. I got only web browsers, my comp, trashcan, documents, HWmonitor (87C on stress, P4 lol) shortcuts to notepad++, few apps, folders, but mostly is messed by icons of random picutres. I make a cleanup once a few months but it mess quickly again. On background I have a picture with a quote.

no wallpaper engine for linux (last i checked anyways)
i feel like it wouldn't really be worth it anyways since i hardly look at my desktop for very long
