im hoping that before they start a war someone close to kim decides to kill him
or that there's a revolt that causes nk to fall so sk can help the nk citizens

The only reason Kim is the ruler of North Korea is because his older brother wanted to go to disneyland and was exiled, and later assassinated (just recently too)

Good for him. He's fine now and just wants to enjoy what capitalism and a free society brought to this world

sad that people are criticizing him, we don't know his personal circumstances, we also don't know why he defected, maybe the last of his family recently died and he figured he had nothing else to loose, maybe he had really important info he felt needed to be shared, maybe he was just fed up and wanted out, its sad that his family might suffer the consequences but I know a lot of people who are so self centred they would abandon their family in a house fire rather than risk burning a single hair on their head, I mean there are people who kill their families for money etc, so I'm not blaming the guy, from all accounts of those who have escaped simply existing is torture in north korea, I hope he gets well and hopefully he didn't have any family left behind to suffer the punishment for his escape but I don't think many people could really say how their world view would be warped by living in such a state

I've been working on a game in my free time that takes place in a society that's kind of like nk

theres a king who controls 2 entire continents and he's a creul leader that lies to his kingdom to manipulate the people into beliving the hell they live in is good and to be loyal to the king
citizens cannot go anywhere without being stopped and checked by soldiers and they even have soldiers in their homes
when somebody is even thought to be against the king they are publicly executed for treason and their family is tortured
the citizens live in extreme poverty aswell and people are atarving in the streets while their neighbors are taken for slave labor

im paying alot of attention to nk because im obviously basing my games environment on it
but instead of escaping you play as a hifh ranking soldier who decidrs what she's doing is wrong and builds a army from the poor inorder to overthrow the king and save the innocent citizens that are being abused and lied to

also I would gladly save someone from a burning building as long as I still have some of my hair left XD
my hair is really soft and it would suck to loose all of it

It's possible that his family wanted him to run so that at least one of them could be saved. All I can do is hope things get better. Zimbwabe finally has hope, Venezuela can no longer afford to keep the people from overrunning the government, so North Korea is next. I just hope things get better without unnecessary death.

Well, I don't have much to worry about North Korea. The closest target for a nuke would be houston, and even with a tsar bomb, neither the impact nor the radiation would reach mexico.

I hope the guy lives a happy life outside North Korea.
