@blujay You don't need to lie to make a point. Yes, the economy has been doing well. For well over a year now. Upward trend month over month.

Trickle down has been proven to not work as well, Reagan tried it already. Trump's tax cuts are just another corporate welfare check. Not to mention over ten years it adds 1.7 trillion to the deficit Republicans are always crying about.

So arguments against trickle down are,

Creates bigger gap between Poor and Rich.
Less money for Poor means less purchasing power.
Less purchasing power means less demand.
Less demand means less money for businesses.
Huge supply but little demand is what caused the Great Depression. (And many businesses took a big hit shutting down.)

Also,
Countries wealth is transferred from poor to rich.
Then its transferred again from rich male to rich female.
Which is how women controls the majority of countries wealth.

Female medical science more advance than males because of huge investments.
Huge investment in female medical science increased life span of women.
Work Stress leads to weakening of immune system which decreased male life span.
Both Contribute to widening the Male and Female life expectancy gap. (gap was only 1 year difference in 1920's)
Males die younger and women inherit husbands wealth.

Top wealthiest 1.6%, people with assets of $500,000 or more, womens net worth higher than mens.
Women marry rich men and out live them. They also have greater spending power and less spending obligations.
This gives women a higher net worth then men. (net worth more important than earnings and wage gap.)
Which leads to some of the wealthiest people being women. (even though none hold top corporate jobs.)

But they are controlling the majority of countries wealth.

@SG854 I was with you until you went off on the whole woman tangent again. If women truly had so much power in this country, Clinton would be president now. The people making the decisions on where the money is going are like 98% corporate jack-offs, aka men. Not that gender should be at all relevant when discussing questions of morality or politics.

Criminals, especially on the federal level, must be charged for their crimes, not just lumped in with other people and forgotten about because they share a certain statistic.

Do you think these women would give the wealth back to the people?
Or continue to control it? Even if they know if it was acquired though unethical means?

If not then should they be held accountable morality and politically wise?

If you had a father that was a top corporate leader.
What would you do if you inherited your fathers wealth through blood money?
Do you think the public will have a high opinion of you?
Or just dismissed you as a spoiled brat who is not deserving of that wealth?
Just like how people critique the Koch Brothers for inheriting their fathers wealth.

I hate Trump and I want to see him gone, but I'll wait on the convictions to actually happen. I wanna see him gone but it'd be nice if the President actually turned out not to be guilty, it'd make the country look slightly less dumb for electing him.

thats one reason why trump hasn't been impeached yet cause he has uncle sam by the balls he knows this will happen if he gets thrown out that said i can imagine a 2nd civil war happening

@chrisrlink Nah, hes got maybe 30% of the voting base still desperately supporting him, which doesn't translate to much in the overall population. They're too cowardly to become criminals just to defend a criminal. Not to mention a lot of them don't even support Net Neutrality repeal. The mental gymnastics to continue believing Trump is some sort of savior are getting more and more ridiculous by the day.

Nobody said anything about any day now, an investigation into the president takes time and I'm fully aware of that. Enjoying watching Trump squirm in the meantime, though, and this investigation is moving a lot faster than Watergate did, so I'm happy with that. Mueller and his team clearly understand the urgency of having a president with early-stage dementia (that's being generous...it's probably late-stage by this point).

Who knew a "nothingburger" could be so entertaining.

@Viri Stuff has already happened, sorry to break your fragile reality bubble. Four individuals connected to Trump have been indicted. Two took pleas for offering bigger fish, and Flynn is singing like a canary right now. The funny/ironic thing is that Obama warned Trump about Flynn, and he might be the one to bring down the Trump administration or corroborate the information that can.

Should the Republicans be too cowardly to move on impeachment after indictments are brought against Trump, then they'll suffer politically.

Idk. If Trump actually faces impeachment, I think it is possible that most of the republicans will rather suffer politically.
