So what games mentioned during today's Nintendo direct I was excited about?

Honestly I wasn't gonna do this but I feel like I should try just to have a conversation with someone.

First I'm surprised they still pushing updates for Arms, last time I checked, it was believed to not be doing as well (Least what I thought) but I noticed they still been supporting it a lot with new characters, stages, gamemodes and promotion. I tried the Global testpunch 2 times last year, and I hope to try the new one again and maybe decide once and for all if i should buy it (Hoping that all of the features is allowed this time instead of locking them.)
I also tried splatoon 2 but I didn't get to play much during the one test before the game launch, so if there is another one as well, I hope to try. I was planning to wait for a discount to buy it to try but I suppose a demo would be nicer to make it easier to decide once and for all. Honestly It is a game they seem to have total confidence in since they keep showing me news about a new weapons and update every week on my switch news feed, just I haven't been a very social online player that I had hoped to be when I got games that play online multiplayer. So Maybe if i do buy the game, some of you will be willing to play with me in some small groups (if the game allows cause i don't see nintendo network integrating the same level of online multiplayer with friends that playstation or xbox has any time soon... let's hope I'm wrong)

Dark souls was mentioned again which I talked about a few times already, I'm excited about trying it before committing to it. Nice way to welcome newcomers to the game. First, I didn't know dark souls had a online multiplayer, that alone makes me more curious to try and the $40 price point is nice too. So I kinda wanna say thanks to Namco and From Software for that and the most complete edition of the game for the switch (Even if i may not like it) :)

I never really bought the mario sports titles, I know about them but I just haven't feel like a sports person as much as others are. I know is not hardcore simulation like the NBA 2k or Madden stuff but I did like NBA jam and those alike, this one got my attention way more than I expected with those skill shots, I just may get it for the sake of having it to play with family. (Maybe then my mom won't have to complain about complex controls by swinging a controller rather than memorizing buttons.) :P

T-hug, Scarlet, Chary, if you reading this, your tag was in this spoiler (So you don't have to go looking for it, you're welcome.) :P
Project Octopath Traveler (Now dropping the "PROJECT" from it's name) I feel is a interesting game, and yes even for me who don't really like RPG games as much as some others do even though I do play some of them cause I'm surprised to find it good. I did a review of Romancing Saga 2 for Nintendo Switch earlier this year. (Check official reviews, Thanks to @T-hug for giving me the opportunity to do so and @Scarlet for his assistance with it and @Chary for help with answering my questions about review publishing and quality assurance, I felt she helped a lot to even be recognized to have a official review) I pointed out how interesting the concept of the choose your own adventure path is that the game has with how it is played and can be a good game with much to offer, but find it very frustrating to play or get engaged in cause of the lack of overall presentation of a game that has remained Japan exclusive for Super Famicom and try bringing it out internationally to players who never had played the game before by not having a manual which would have been a basic fundamental to include. (Basically every game should have a manual with basic instructions of how to play the game or using the features if the game chooses not have a tutorial or help screen)

Otcopatch Traveler is a game that seem to follow that concept of choosing your own adventure story but with modern gameplay that could be more desirable to play and I'm convinced that it was based on romancing saga games they may have based the game on from my observation. I played the demo and enjoyed it, and even participated in the survey, they answered some questions about it and made further improvements with the suggestions that was given, very well handled game, much improved compared to the "Android port to console port of Romancing Saga 2" game I tried. I feel like this will appeal to even non RPG fanatics like myself by perhaps trying once again like they did with Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, to introduce a new generation of players into the classic JRPG gameplay that started the international success in the first place, what better place than to start with the one who helped you from the beginning... Nintendo. :)

Meteor7, your tag is in this spoiler.
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is the game people like @Meteor7 keep telling me I should have waited for instead of Fire Emblem Warriors. I been told that this is a much better game mostly cause of the unique characters diversifying the gameplay compared to the Fire emblem and their repetitive class roles known as "Clone Characters" meaning each character in Hyrule warriors play differently and is unique, unlike having the twins of Aytolis play exactly the same and is nothing more than just presenting two gender decisions for the player following the trend of Awakening and Fates Robin and Corrin. Unlike those two, it was just one character not two separate ones. But enough about that. Anyway I may be interested in this one but honestly before during trailers and talk about it, I wasn't and for pretty dumb reasons you may think. One is cause the characters don't talk, that was one reason why I was interested more in Fire Emblem Warriors (and cause I already Marth Amiibo I want to put to use than just smash bros.) Yes dumb I know but still I stand by it. It was also why I was interested in Breath of the wild, but was disappointed by the story so no need to go into details. Anyway, if I didn't get enough "Musho" gameplay, i may get this. (How could I not? The stages last a long time than average RPG boss battles)

Mario & Luigi Bowser Inside Story is a game I haven't played since it was released on Nintendo DS. I have played Superstar Saga on GBA and the 3DS game which I both like (Though somethings between transition I wish was there isn't) I was curious that "Partners in time" wasn't the one to come next which would make sense in chronological order. So I'm excited to play this game, and probably the only 3DS game to mentioned too.

Please share your thoughts if you also have somethings to say about my comments, the games I choose to highlight or others you was curious about. (Please for the love of god, keep the smash bros comments to minimum, we know it's probably the only anticipated game here that majority of people probably care about, I just don't want it to be the center of attention for this thread, it's already possible for a thread of it's own.) :P

I was excited about Captain Toad <3 and that's it i think.. Luigi's Mansion for 3DS was awesome! and if Smash is a brand new game and NOT a port then i will be excited for that one too!

Am I the only one who got "Super Smash Bros" level hype for WarioWare?
I dunno, are you? :ninja:

Honestly I kinda wasn't sure this was be a popular game, since I tried it in Super Mario 3D world and basically it was just short stages to get The star coins, it wasn't much appeal to me personally. Still I can't fathom the fact that it's a mario spinoff game where you solve puzzles doing no jumping what so ever. So what makes you like this game? :)

Woah now, this is not what I said. From our previous conversation:
You: So is hyrule warriors a better game cause of not having clone movesets?

Me: It's really up to you whether or not that makes one game better than the other. There were many little things about the design of Fire Emblem Warriors that I liked over Hyrule Warriors. The ability to open up the crit/weakness gauge with your third-level strong combo was one, having the "attack speed +" ability attached to the character instead of the weapon was another, etc.
I didn't, and still don't, feel that Hyrule Warriors is a definitively better game than Fire Emblem Warriors, and I never said that you should have waited for the definitive edition release.

Exactly that, the game is simple in 3D World, but the puzzles went to a whole new level with its own game! and i don't know, Toad just inspires so good vibes on that game its so cute LOL, good puzzles, great music, awesome graphics, nice mechanics! Its a very good game. I cant wait to buy it for Switch and 3DS!

So from this statement, you are saying it is Fire Emblem Warriors that is better than Hyrule Warriors?

smash, splatoon dlc, arms testpunch, captain toad, mario tennis. there was so many cool things in this direct

Splatoon 2: zzzz
Tennis: the Direct sold me on it
Dark Souls + Mario Tennis online tests: Absolutely lovely idea
Project Octopath: Can go either way at this point tbh. Not going to hold out hope, but will wait for review scores to see about it.
Hyrule Warriors: After playing through BOTW, I could go for that, not expecting it to be as good as FE:W tho
Having the two competent M&L RPG games on 3DS now is great, too.

I am really exited for the games the 3DS is getting, also for Okami, Crash, Smash... ummm... I am a little dissapointed at the octolings been paid dlc... but whatever
