The previous night, and my previous attempts at pulling an all-nighter

My school hosted an event in which you were supposed to pull an all-nighter in the building. It was pretty cool, there were a couple of activities you could do and I managed to stay awake all night. Towards the end, I actually didn't feel much more tired than as if it was around midnight. I wanted to go to sleep, but could still stay well awake. I wasn't dozing off or anything.
This is my third attempt ever at pulling an all-nighter and my second successful one. The previous one was two years ago on New Year's Eve. I wanted to play video games all night with my friend who was spending the night at my place. I felt like a zombie towards the end. We were successful, but I was so tired in the morning that I went to bed as soon as he left.
My very first attempt was three years ago. It was the same situation, but we couldn't stay awake so we went to sleep at 4 am.
Back to the present. When I stepped out of the building, saw the bright sky and smelled the morning air, I started feeling pretty energised. Maybe I could even stay awake and not spend half the day sleeping. Who knows. I'm still thinking about what I should do.

It's almost 9 pm. I don't feel tired. There's an interesting symptom I've experienced: I've been hungry all day, no matter how much I eat.

I once pulled two all-nighters in a row and started hallucinating. Fun times. That amount of sleep deprivation nowadays would probably kill me at my age.

I stayed up for 48 hours once. No caffeine, no nothing, and I wasn't even tired. I was just too into what I was coding at the time to sleep. Never done it again since, haven't really wanted to. I didn't hallucinate though, but from what I hear it starts happening after 72 hours, but can happen quicker or slower for some people.

@TheRealJdbye Out of curiosity, what was it that you were coding?

I feel like the hardest part is at the 17-20 hour mark, a bit depending on when you woke up. Waking up early makes me tired early, waking up late makes me tired only once I've been up for around 19 hours, waking up really late actually makes me get tired earlier than that, must be because I've been up all night and the darkness makes me sleepy after a while. Then the tiredness passes for a few hours, comes back, goes away for a few more hours, and by the time it comes back again it's the evening. That's when I usually go to bed, since I've found that staying up past that often makes me unable to sleep until late at night again.

I'm gonna pull an all nighter tonight, I've got an energy drink, and some Crackers, I'm gonna stay up reading my school book Dx But it's literature, so should be entertaining

I pulled an all nighter one time. Mainly to play gta online all nignt. i also hacked my freinds wii and just stuck a bunch of the cool stuff on it. that was 2 years ago. Now i go to sleep at 3 or 4 am alot.

My record for staying awake the longest time is around 34 to 35 hours. But don't do that, it fucks with your internal clock in bad ways (such as stretching time in weird ways), of course, it tires you like crazy, and most of all it's difficult to fall asleep the first time after that, (and to recover your normal internal clock). It's like getting 12-hours jetlagged but 10x worse.

I've been going to sleep a lot later, I think now I'm old enough to probably actually do it. I've stayed up to 00:30 on New Year's, but the problem is that I never EVER sleep in, so it's hard to make up lost sleep.

If you ever pull an all-nighter, prepare with food. You would probably be hungry like smileyhead. If you do it, eat a lot, it will probably offset the sleep loss a bit.

i can barely stay awake after 00:00 lol
i've never done anything like that (never heard about too) but i would surely sleep easily

Longest I've gone was about 53 hours. It was fueled highly by caffeine and sugar, I wouldn't recommend it lol

@StarTrekVoyager For me that happens way sooner. Like after maybe 20 hours. And it really sucks when you're tired.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
