I boiled water for 5 hours before realizing I forgot something

I boiled some water to prepare lunch, then I got busy and, 5 hours later, I remembered about it. All the water was gone :(

Just don't forget the Pizza in the oven!
And if you do forget it, open all windows and close the bedroom doors before opening that oven!

Reminds me a while ago.

I kept boiling water in the kettle over and over to make coffee, but each time I started to boil it, I did something else, forgetting I put it there, so when I came back, warm water at best.
...it took me 5 times until I could tell myself "oh right, boiling water, don't forget it again".
