Grandma's blueberry cake recipe is the best!

Dunno why I had the need to share this lol.

Any easy recipes you guys use that's delicious? I'd like to share lol

-edit-
On the recipe cost the blueberries with a small amount of flour to prevent them from sinking while it's in the oven.

No kidding. Those amounts seem awfully excessive. Do you put extra sugar on your pre-sugared breakfast cereal?

I generally don't eat much sugar, but this recipe has been around since before I was born.

Maybe 1 cup of sugar in less, otherwise that looks pretty good.
Would be good with strawberries too.

@leon315 not too fond of this. Every products with stevia I tried had a pretty gross sweet aftertaste that makes me gag after a few sip/bites.

Here is an easy recipe for biscuits.

  • Mix equal amounts butter & sugar
  • Add some vanilla or other flavouring (optional) e.g. orange essence.
  • Mix in enough plain flour so make it just not too sticky to roll out.
  • Roll between two sheets of baking paper until it is about 1/2 cm - 1 cm thick, and even (the thicker, the softer in the middle, but too thick, and the middle will be raw so watch out)
  • Cut out shapes with a biscuit cutter or drinking glass. If cutting shapes rather than circles leave them in the fridge for an hour before baking (stops them from spreading as much)
  • Bake on greased baking paper for about 15 minutes on a low-medium temperature (??? not really sure, probably check after 5-10 minutes - when the edges start browning turn off the oven. Let them go longer i.e. more brown coverage if you prefer hard biscuits instead of soft chewy ones)
  • Leave them to cool down before touching
This is a good recipe for decoration with royal icing and adding pictures or sticking on decorations e.g. hundreds and thousands. But make sure the bickies are COMPLETELY cool before decorating or the icing won't set!

I'll give this a try @Quantumcat . I never really had a biscuit before tough so I dunno what to expect as a outcome.

Also something not mentioned in the recipe.

Try to coat the blueberries with a bit of flour before mixing, it prevents them from sinking when cooking
