Time Passed

Damn, it feels like it's been way longer since I did a blog post. I've been living inside my head as of recently and one of the things I was thinking of is how fast things really seem to change.
Forums come and go, I've sadly had a lot of forums come and go and a lot of friends come and go. I didn't come on to this forum specifically to make friends but I feel like I did.
Now I have this feeling I had with every other forum. It's a feeling of "I wish I was back in that time". That time being when specific people were still active and I was "in" the community. This might sound really sappy but I just think of all the people I lost contact with, even people of this forum and wonder where did all that time go? How did I just lose contact with them over the years?
Time really seems to be a recurring theme in my blogs, huh?

I really can't be the only person that has ever felt this way. There has gotta be a word for this feeling.

You should really value the times you spend with your friends or family, or just the time you are alive. Sure, it sounds corny and you've probably heard it thousands of times but it's true.
A Relevant bible verse would be Psalms 90:12

Yeah, this forum has completely changed since I joined back in 2010. I miss all the updates to AKAIO and the new ways to hack the Wii.

I can't say I relate to the whole forum thing, but losing contact with old friends over the years is something that definitely leaves you feeling empty.

It was weird joining two years before some members who are now basically part of "the cool kids". Though now I realize people disliked me rather than like me in the ol' days (aka 2015). lol

I hung out with one crowd back in 2004. Later I hung out with another crowd, once those people start dropping from the site. Now I'm hanging with yet another crowd, one that I feel even more connected to than any of the old ones.

And the feeling you have? Nostalgia?

@Issac I think Nostalgia is a very good word to describe my feeling. I long for the times where I spoke to a specific crowd, but I am very happy with the way my life is going. I wouldn't have it any other way.

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
