The Alert Ready system test all over Canada.

FOR ANYONE READING THIS OUTSIDE OF CANADA: ALERT READY IS CANADA'S EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM.

Anyways, going back on topic.
This is my first blog post, so, yeah.

So today, the Government of Canada released a test of the alert ready system today.
And I had no idea that this was happening, until everyone of us in History class got the notification on our phones.
In my opinion, (because I am a absolute freak.) I found everyone's reaction to the "BEEEE-BURRR-BEEEE-BURRR-BEEEE-BURRR-BEEEE-BURRR" coming out of our phones.
Everyone was going crazy. The teacher had to spend 10 minutes to calm everyone down. Not only that, just to make everyone in the SCHOOL scared, our principal plays the sound over the PA system.

So, yeah. A lot of people were bruised...

Okay, I'm done.

I just looked up what the sound was like. Living in the USA, I thought our alert tone was worse. But now I can see why everyone freaked out.

leon315 it's an all in 1 emergency alert system for things like forest fires/earthquakes/flooding ect ect and more importantly terrorist attacks and nuclear missile strikes.

I wish we had a system like that here in Scotland because all the experts say that if there was to be a nuclear missile attack on Britain the missiles would not be aimed at the obvious place of London or any other big city they would be fired at my home town of Clydebank. Why simply because a few miles to the north is Faselane which is the base for all of Britain's nuclear submarines. A few miles to the North West of Clydebank is Coulport which is an underground facility where over 100 atomic bombs are stored. In the actual town is B.A.E Systems where a large chunk of Britain's warships are made and also repaired when damaged. Also close by is a military base which officially nobody in the military ever confirms exists even though we know its there and the place is heavily guarded and you get arrested for trying to take pictures of the place basically its Scotlands Area 51. Plus they are always doing things at night time with strange looking aircrafts taking off and landing.
