Thinking of doing a challenge, need your advice

I am a relatively stupid individual, so I somehow thought it would be a good idea to challenge myself to use a different phone for at least a week.

Phones I have shortlisted as possible candidates:
  • Palm Centro
  • Blackberry 9720
  • HP Veer
  • Nokia Asha 503
  • Random Hello Kitty flip phone I found on aliexpress (pls no)

I'd like to know if any of you would be interested in actually reading a daily blog of my escapades using the phone or not.

Also, Do you have any other phone ideas I could use? The whole point of this experiment would be to use a quirky/outdated phone and see if I could survive.

I'd second the Ngage idea. The Ngage QD was a pretty good phone back in 2004, although it failed as a gaming console it still has some pretty good games. You can play Tomb Raider, Tony Hawks, Pandemonium, Sonic and so on.

Your limited to 2g so all you can really do is call or text, however it's not like any modern internet enabled apps will work on it anyway. You can install loads of Symbian apps, games and emulators from the SD card, or over bluetooth.

That would actually be interesting using a 15 year old phone today, presuming you can get 2g service. The Ngage was ahead of its time when most people didn't have smartphones.

I actually have an n-gage qd. I'd use it, but I need at least a tri-band gsm device to get 2G still. Sadly, the qd is a dual-band gsm device. If it was tri or quad-band, I'd definitely use that. I personally love my qd. The portrait oriented games make it fun and quirky

Damn y'all took something that was meant to make him suffer and turned it into a positive. Still, I'd take an Xperia Play over an N-Gage any day. Never owned one myself, but a friend did, and it was pretty sweet.

I'd do the xperia play, but the point of this is to make me suffer/work hard to make it usable. Especially since it's Android, I'd just start tinkering with it lol.

I still have my QD also, i've not powered it on for years now however it did work at the time. I can't get anything below 3g so it would be pretty useless as a phone in 2019, however still one of my favourite phones of years gone by.

The Xperia Play wouldn't exactly be a dream these days with Android 2.3.7, 512 MB ram and a 1500 mAh battery. You'd probably have to flash a custom rom and work to make that anywhere near usable.

Failing that, the Nokia 3210. You can enjoy Snake again!

@AmandaRose LOL. Sadly, I at least need texting capabilities.

@The Real Jdbye Maybe if you'll do it with me! I might consider extending it if I can actually use the phone.

@The Real Jdbye hopefully I can just use my 3ds for discord and the phone for everything else
