Had you ever played NieR: Automata and finished it? Read through, if not, avert your eyes!
P.S:
This is somewhat cowardly but hey some might need it, some might not, but its good to know that there's a way to do things.
I had just, somewhat, circumvented the apparent *I will delete your save data in order for you to help someone* fiasco;
1. Back-up your save using the Application Save Data Management on your PS4.
2. Back-up your save to your PC. Lets name this Save 1. Now delete the save from your USB flash device.
3. Play the game and go through Ending E.
4. Go through all the banter and delete your save...
5. Take a deep breath...
6. Back-up your save again like last time and save it to your PC but separate it from Save 1 and lets name this as Save 2.
7. Now copy Save 1 to your USB flash device.
8. Take an even deeper breath...
9. Go to Application Save Data Management and import your Save 1 back to your PS4 *EXCEPT* the *SYSTEM DATA*
10. Test it out... now you can reap the bounties of actually finishing the game, helping somebody to some extent, and the main point of without going through all that cacophony again.
10a. You also now have a clean backup of before you did something, Save 1, and a clean backup of when you finished the game, Save 2.
