According to a Spanish humorous encyclopedia called "Inciclopedia", it seems to have an article about the Wii U but it has a big mistake like "all the consoles that were not sold were buried in the desert or, The console was even more failure than the ET (Atari 2600) ".

Also this is said the same in the article of the Atari video game burial, I will quote:
"Nintendo has decided to bury thousands of Wii U after its failure.".

Did it happen again in 2012 until 2017 the failure of the ET (Atari 2600) and another burial similar to the "Atari video game burial" that occurred in 1983 and this happened again in 2017 with Wii U, will not be true or false?

While the Wii U was indeed a massive flop, the idea of burying consoles in the desert sounds satirical to me, rather than reality. :lol:

@Subtle Demise I just checked eBay and working units can be found as cheap as $85 - $100. It's quite a bit cheaper than retro consoles right now.

@Xzi, yeah Used condition. I found those too. The ones I was looking at were NIB. Even at that condition, still have a hard time figuring out how a flop of a console still holds value years later.

@Subtle Demise Typically the value of anything can only go up the longer you keep it new in box, but it remains to be seen if Wii U will still be in demand at all 5+ years from now. To its benefit is the fact that it plays three generations of Nintendo games out of the box, but the same is also true of Dolphin+CEMU, and those allow better textures, higher frame rates, and a lot of other customization.

It says the Inciclopedia is fake because during that time of the Atari crisis (1983) there were no updates, DLCs or patches to add things to the games, this is false because burying consoles or video games in the desert today sounds saritic, it is a lie too fake.

Wii U has upgradable games (both Digital and Physical), which means that Nintendo did not bury thousands of Wii U after failure, which means it's an illusion.

Thanks to upgradable games (both Digital and Physical) along with updates, DLCs or patches, no one can bury consoles or video games in the desert, which means that Atari crisis will not happen again or ever.

I loved the Wii u. So versatile and vastly underrated.

I mean Wii Sports on a hdmi only TV is possible.

They make bloody good Amigas! Not being sarcastic...
