I’m pissed

I just won a PlayStation classic from a arcade Machine but the ps classic just got stuck in the prize area. The manager said “the Machine owner isn’t in today so just give me your name and number”. I have no hope of getting that damn call and I’m pissed. View attachment 178388View attachment 178389View attachment 178390View attachment 178391View attachment 178392

Yep.... he said I should get a call tomorrow but I doubt I’ll ever get a call

Why are you already super pessimistic and cynical about not getting a call? You've taken pictures, he told you you'll be getting a call. You'll probably get a call. Should've taken a video of the serial number on the machine, as well as the dropped item into the slot.

You shouldn't be pissed. Just be patient.

You're probably never gonna see your prize sadly.
I hope calling them fixes everything though

@Josshy0125 you have to understand they want to keep that prize as much as possible. This is why I probably won’t get it. They want to keep it at all costs

I would say that's illegal. I would show up if they don't call tomorrow, ask for the dude, then keep bugging him until he gives it to you. Provide the pictures, etc. Are there any stand-out locations or object in the background of the photos, which could prove the location of the thing? Also, he'll likely walk in tomorrow and see it fallen in the thing there. I would honestly not stop bugging him until he gives it to you. And if he doesn't, or says some BS like, "Well we can't prove it was you", etc., go to the mall security (Mall, right?) and ask them to help, have them watch the security footage, etc. That should work. And honestly, if that somehow doesn't work, go to the local police station, tell them what happened, mention how you know it "sounds silly' and unlike a "big issue", but that you won it, rightfully so, and have them get the security film from the mall. When I say "push", I mean KEEP pushing. It's illegal for him to keep it, and if he keeps refusing, it is actually okay, (and rightfully so)_ to get the police on this, because that is literally "illegal", and it is YOURS.

Also, just noticed, "This machine is under constant surveillance." Dude. You've already won. You've got proof. Also, as a visual marker, there's that creepy bowling pin sticker with half his head gouged out.

This sucks, but honestly, my dude: you're not missing out on much. The PS Classic is a pretty half-assed cash in on the "classic" emulator market by Sony. The hardware is pretty good, but its game selection and emulation quality are just straight-up garbage. You're much better off with just some ROMs and your smartphone/PC/any other hacked console.

If you live nearby and they don't call you tomorrow just go back there and confront them in person.

Before making the leap from "having no prize" to "giving them hell", don't miss out the very important middle step of just going down there and asking again. Messages get lost, mistakes get made. The people working there are only human and that means they are able to foul up the simplest of things from time just like the reast of us.

Don't assume malice if you don't get a call. It could simply be a genuine mistake or oversight. When you first return there calmly and politely explain the situation (if it's somebody different), state that you haven't yet received a call and you'd like the situation resolved.

By all means, if they then remain unhelpful or get defensive then you can up the ante. But only after you've attempted to sort things out peacefully.

If you go in there acting like an asshole without first giving them a chance to fix the situation, you're just going to get people's backs up and they're not going to be inclined to be particularly helpful.

You've got picture evidence right here that you won, the word of an employee and (assuming it's not a sticker for deterrent) 24-hour surveillance video they can review to see that you're not lying.

I'd say the odds are in your favor even if the employees happen to not be reasonable.
Though I'm confident it'll go over smoothly if you just do what Pleng has said.
