Why I stand behind the US President....

Just for the few uninitiated people on here who confuse blogposts for threads, these are my opinions/facts I found on the internet/ravings. This is not intended to start a debate, but rather, to inform on why I think the way I do. If you want to debate, take it to the politics section and create a new thread. I will allow comments, but any that are only to shit-post, attack, insult, or just to be hateful will be deleted. I welcome your opinions but respect mine.

Why I stand behind the US President and his administration, and why I feel the left is wrong to hate him.

If you watch any late night talk shows, tune into main stream media channels, visit mainstream news websites (other than Fox News), or even when you relax and enjoy your favorite comic book or tv show, you'll will, more likely than not, be inundated with leftist viewpoints and/or outright attacks on right-wing values. This matter has come to the point where I no longer watch tv anymore due to my values being assaulted constantly by those in charge of our entertainment.

I can understand why a lot of millennials, "free spirited" individuals, and foreigners can think Trump and the right are evil, racist, xenophobic, etc. They are constantly being fed the same lies about how they should think and feel, all day and night, over and over again, until they start to believe it so much that any ideas that oppose the ideals they have bought into, is totally wrong and only means to destroy them.
I have had discussions with people who are so brainwashed in the left's viewpoints, that they absolutely refuse to agree with anything on the right. Even if Trump would come out and say "air is good, everyone should enjoy it and breath it in", these people would hold their breath till they die rather than let Trump be correct about something in their mind. A lot of untruths told about Trump can be easily contradicted with a simple internet search such as the "he said all mexicans are rapist...." lie.

The truth is that if anybody who thinks the Republicans/Conservatives are racist, evil, hateful, anti-any groups, etc would take a few minutes to actually look at the policies of the Democrats from the Jim Crow laws and all the up to how they would rather take care of illegal immigrants before helping US citizens, you might wonder, for a change, what the Democrats are actually all about and who their best interests are out to help. Take some more time to actually think up a policy the left has created since Trump took office to help anybody that does not involve trying to impeach the president.
Another issue I have with the left is the fact that a lot of them will not support the president of the USA regardless if they like him or not (which I find funny figuring everybody loved Trump before he started to run for president). The media has even assaulted his tariff policies to the point they were close to causing a recession with their rhetoric even though our economy is the strongest it's been in decades, just ask Jim Cramer.

I don't even want to go into the whole "Russia scandal" and "Trumps a russian spy" nonsense. You all should know how this turned out and how much time/money was wasted on this. Let alone, the whole "impeach Trump" fiasco that is still going on. Imagine if the House democrats spent that time and effort on actual policies and getting things done. Too bad this will most likely go on for another 5 years.

Now, I'm not saying the right side of the aisle will create a Heaven on earth with rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns running all over. They also have a few policies I disagree with as well, but that is not the topic of this blogpost.

Just to start on why I support Trump, here are some of his accomplishments so far in his presidency as of this blogpost:

  • Reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
  • Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security.
  • Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.
  • Net exports are on track to increase by $59 billion this year.
  • Improved vetting and screening for refugees, and switched focus to overseas resettlement.
  • We have begun BUILDING THE WALL. Republicans want STRONG BORDERS and NO CRIME. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS which equals MASSIVE CRIME.

I know, some of you who think Trump can do no good will think to yourself or post a nasty comment about how these are lies, they never happened, or "but, but, but Don Lemon/Rachel Maddow/Trevor Noah/Steven Colbert told me Trump does nothing good". Just keep in mind that if these were lies, the left wing media would attack them constantly in order to have them removed from the site.

Like I said in my first blog, I didn't like Trump at first. I thought he was just a reality tv/business man who just thought of himself. I wasn't sure why he was running as a republican as he was a staunch liberal for many years who even supported the Clintons during their time in office. With just the attacks I noticed, I always wondered why he would want to stay president with all this hate towards him. I know I would quit my job if I took half of the crap people were throwing at him.

After realizing just how much the left was attacking him for nonsense stuff like his hair, his kids, how many people shown up at his inauguration, fake news about him saying racist things, etc along with the fact that even his republican colleagues were attacking him, I started looking at his policies. I was surprised at how much he was actually working towards making "America great again" and getting things done. Now fast forward to today, with the economy being better than ever, unemployment being at all time lows for everyone including POC's, and the fact that he is actually building an effective wall ("Oh, the wall is going up!!!"), I just don't see how anybody can be against him and his administration.

To end this, I will just say that, we should all support him regardless if you hate him or love him because he is our president, he is making this country great, and he is going to win in 2020.

Honestly, without Tronald, I'd still have a few friends (they didn't like that I didn't share their views). So for me, he made me lose long-time buds....he also got really uneducated folks interested in politics.

If he gives me $1M+ and a really amazing wife before April 2020, he's the best; if not, he's fucking scum.

Both sides in equal parts are kinda awful really, I wish we could have a conversation about politics without it ending with broken friendships, and in extreme cases in a pool of their own blood.

I wish I could express my view without getting people at my throat. From either side, cause both are guilty.

On the bright side we got some good memes.

@H1B1Esquire : I feel like it'd be a smol loan.

Both sides are terrible, especially in the US. All you see is both attacking each other, since D.T. was elected.
Both have ridiculed each other.
Both have lied in both sides. That also includes Trump and that is irrefutable, whether he has done good for the country or not, or whether you support him.

He may have done good in the short run, but I feel the worst is yet to come. Especially in the sector of the economy. You will definitely suffer the effects.

Hooohohoho, 2020 shall be a very interesting year. Especially meme wise.

By the way, if you think tariffs are a good thing, in this context . They are not. Import tariffs are tax imposed on imported products from China. China doesn’t pay any tax from this. It is meant to discourage american companies from dealing with China by imposing taxes on pretty much everything that comes there.

In other words, they pay more to import from there. And what they can do to absorb the taxes, is charge the consumers more, for their products. Brace for inflation!

@osaka35 Oh, I usually don't need to ask why as people can be very forceful and belligerent with their reasons. It's just that they only provide insults, outright lies without anything to back them up, or just tell me to F-Off.

To everybody who has commented so far. Thank you so much for being civil and not attacking me for my thoughts. It's great to hear from people that can speak their minds without hate.

Whole lot of gaslighting in this post, but I'll simply say that respect is earned, not given. Trump has failed to earn himself any respect from the left (or even from the center, for that matter) in the time he's been president. He's embarrassed the country in front of the world on multiple occasions, and anything he's "accomplished" has been motivated solely by self-interest. Not once has he made any attempt to unite the country, and he's leaned on an 'us vs them' narrative from the beginning.

@Xzi What you said is very close to an attack as it's just words without context, or gibberish without reason. I can badmouth the left all day without using any substance all day long, but I rather have a meaningful opinion based on, and backed up, by facts. If you want to just bash the president or me with baseless opinions, start your own blogpost. I'll leave your comment as an example of the things I do not want commented on my blogposts.

@morvoran I can post sources and videos to back everything I said in my comment, but it would be a whole lot of effort for zero payoff. Your 'facts' come from Breitbart and Dailywire, mine from several other sources. In the end this comes down to an ideological disagreement: you believe the president deserves 100% of the country supporting him because he won the electoral college. I believe that support has to be earned through his actions, which demonstrate his effectiveness as a leader (or don't).

I'd of liked the wall built already, but so many try to stop it. It's such an iconic, prayer of hope, but so many think it's okay for illegals to sneak into peoples basement and allow trafficking. Talk shows and News slander his name like he's Osama Bin Laden. It really feels like true journalism no longer exists in the mainstream world. As Darth Vader says: "I find your lack of faith disturbing."

@Xzi "I believe that support has to be earned through his actions, which demonstrate his effectiveness as a leader (or don't)." What else does he have to do to earn your support? Give you $1000/month, free healthcare, and personally go to your house and rub your feet? I mean "give me a break".
On top of that, I was saying that your first post here didn't add any context to my blog regardless if you have any or not that you didn't add. I stated at the very top that I didn't want to debate, have attack posts, insulting posts, shit-posts and/or posts just to be hateful. Your post fell under these categories.

Dude, I know you're trying to post your opinions and all, and that's fine, you be you, but...this is a forum. You're gonna get people attacking, praising, or debating you. I mean, the whole reason I think a lot of people were drawn to Trump in the first place was the fact that his campaign pretty much consisted of him doing that one image with him giving the middle finger to political correctness, and here you are asking people to not be *insert things this post isn't intended to be*. Like yeah, I get what you're trying to do, but the result is the same at the end of the day: anyone who says something to the effect of "orange fan mad" is gonna get deleted. Don't get me wrong, I'm fiscally conservative myself, with a mix of social liberalism/conservatism I suppose, but that's on the stuff I care about and is far more complicated than the scope of something like this. I mean, you already got another user accusing you of gaslighting. You can't control human nature when it's allowed to be itself at the end of the day.

@Silent_Gunner No, this is a personal blog post in the blog section. The forum is in the forum section.
I can say what I want here and moderate what others say here. In the forum section, I can say what I want, but I have no control if you post a retort or agree with me.
I will debate anybody in the forum section and have said this on multiple occasions. You would know I said this again if you took the time to read all that I said at the top of this blog.
Anyways, thanks for the rest of your comment.

@DRAGONBALLVINTAGE Exactly, that is all the content they have to work with. I used to watch Colbert, Meyers, and The daily show, but I stopped when I just got tired of the same content night after night. Fallon actually talked about other topics to discuss that wasn't about Trump, but he was just unbearable to watch. After he leaves office, I wonder if these talk shows will be cancelled for having no content to work with.

Thanks for your comment.

From the outside looking in Trump seems to be having a good impact on jobs at home but from an international view it looks like he's just eroding the trust the rest of the world has in the US by pulling out of deals that help keep Europe safe like the IRBM deal and Iran deal and by reversing rules meant to try and limit climate change.

@RaptorDMG Thanks for the comment. I can understand that some of his policies may look bad from the outside, but these policies were not working, just giving other countries money for nothing in return, and just plain unfair to US citizens. The US is the "police of the world" because nobody else can afford to, or wants to, take the responsibility.
The Iran deal was just the US paying a country and removing sanctions to not build nukes while they were still developing the technology behind our back. The US was just sending them a large amount of money to build their economy, increase funds to research nuclear technology, and promote terrorists while damaging our own economy and safety. Other countries were demanding we not leave the deal for their own safety concerns but were unwilling to pay the price themselves.
Look at the Paris agreement on climate change. It would have cuts jobs for americans and damaged our economy. The US was expected to force other nations to cut their emissions while we paid their bills, except for China and India who were allowed to increase their emissions.
These deals were all just nonsense and should never have been made.

The problem with the US leaving the Iran deal is that as far as the UN can see Iran had been compliant with the terms of the deal with the only claims I could find to the contrary coming from Israel who have been attacking Iranian forces in neighbouring countries for years. As for other countries being unwilling to try and offset the price of the US leaving, you failed to take into consideration that the US is placing sanctions on any countries or businesses doing business with Iran so it's more of a case of we don't like this deal so nobody can do the deal.
Global warming agreements cut jobs in the coal and oil sectors by nature and require investment into new technologies to help us move away fossil fuels which even if you don't believe in climate change is a good goal due to the effects of pollution from cars and factories on human health and in my opinion peoples health is more important than short term gains.
The Paris agreement essentially says countries should try to cut emissions, it was never really enforceable so most countries are behind where they should be but atleast most countries are making an attempt and India's doing better towards the goals than the US did when they were compling with the agreement.
Here's my source on countries efforts with the Paris agreement: https://climateactiontracker.org/countries/

@morvoran Try not to look at it as racist policies as them intentionally (twirling their mustaches) trying to be racist. I think that mindset is what causes a lot of friction between both groups.

They have policies right, and those policies might not turn out the way it was planned. You see them as failure policies. Lets take for example Welfare. And the unintended effects were that it caused fatherless homes in your view. Was that their intended goal, to pass welfare to ruin 2 parent households? No it wasn't. But it's something that happened at least to you.

It can be seen as racism right like affirmative action, them promoting a group above others. To them they are just fighting a perceived privileged and that affirmative action is just to put the under dog group at the same level, not above them. Whether or not affirmative action helps or hurts is for debate. But it requires some empathy to understand where they are coming from. Those things can be called "Racist Policies" just to make a point, a contradiction point or a context type point, but it's just for debate type purposes and not actually believe they are intentionally trying to be evil or racist.

I think why Trump Supporters latch on to painting the other side as racist or horrible people is because they have on the back of their minds Communism or other horrible policies and people dying because of it. People that believed in communism did it because they believed it would help people, but unintended effects was death and suffering. So Trump supporters believe that good intentions is not enough and they must paint them as evil to stop what they think will ruin and hurt people. I think this is that block to empathize with the other side and why some think they are evil.
