What do you use your Wii console for?

I bought a Wii machine in 2015 because it's one of those Wii with gamecube ports so my intention has always been to play gamecube game (which I think has one of the most amazing library ever). However, skip 4 years later, I finally bought myself a good gaming laptop that finally can run most GC and Wii games in 1080p 60 fps full speed. As much as I love to play the games in the original hardware, it's kinda painful to see games run on 480p when you can run the games with 1080p on dolphin.

I have been trying to sell my Wii for years, but no one ever made an offer. I think it will stay with me a very long time. So in what occasion do you usually use your Wii?

Yeah no so the Wii is at least twice that price if you want cables and you will probably be charged $10-15 for a classic controller alone.
Guess I got really lucky on the flea markets this year.
  • Got one Wii with all cables, two remote plus + some garbage games for 25€
  • Another one with all cables, normal Wii remote + third party Wii remote + 2 Nunchuks for 20€
  • And a third Wii missing the AV cable – everything else was okay for 10€

Use it? Who said anything about using it? :P
In all seriousness, I still play GC and Wii games sometimes, but never on my own Wii. It's always with other people, and since I rarely ever have visitors at my place... :P
It's generally Mario Party 5 or 6, sometimes 7 or 8. And on rare occasions we play Mario Kart Double Dash. All on a Wii of course. We used to play Mario Kart Wii but there are far better versions of Mario Kart now so we never play that anymore, MKDD still holds a special place in my heart though and I love the two character mechanic and dual item boxes.
And the odd Smash Bros Melee, but it's not my favorite Smash game, cause I don't stand a chance against any of the people still playing it :P

@TheMrIron2 exactly, I cannot stand the motion controller. I even bought device to connect my gamecube gamepad to pc and made my custom super mario galaxy controller scheme. the game is so muuuuch better after that.

I think the motion controls have their purpose - lightgun games like House of the Dead feel better with pointer controls than an analog stick, for example - but sometimes their use is heavy-handed and in some games you'd wonder why they forced you to use it so much.
