Thinking About Quitting

I don't know if I should quit the scenes on all sites, but I'm starting to feel that way. I don't know how many people know me, but I'm also known as pinky as per my tutorials and psx place. a certain site, that shall remain nameless, has posted a couple of my emails in hopes of embarrassing me. it's basically me against the site. I don't want this anymore. if I'm to be alone, then fine, I can deal with that, but I wish more would tell that site and admin to fuck off. I try to help people, and I never try to get efame. if I did, then why did I give credit to everyone but me in my tutorials? I feel like I'm a good person, but they'd have you believe otherwise. I don't know what to do anymore really. I like temp and psx place, but I don't want to feel embarrassed by posting if you've read what they have to say.

what made theflow quit was him saying that he sold his soul for $50,000 when he disclosed the 6.72 exploit to sony. under the disclosure agreement, you can release the exploit as long as reasonable time has past to patch it. theflow even has a link to it on his twitter.

yeah, there was some bad blood between him and I back from ps3hax. the drama that happened in that scene was unreal. drama doesn't really happen much on temp, but it's there. it does happen in every scene, but it's more out in the open with the playstation scenes. anyway, rasputin and I kinda buried the hatchet on psx place. we are very nice to one another. however, I don't know what to think about his issue with theflow.

theflow did sell his soul. he burned an exploit for cash. had he not done so, that exploit could have been available at EOL. Any criticism theflow got for that, he rightfully deserved. There is a distinct difference between finding an exploit and not releasing it, and finding an exploit and then reporting it to sony.

I had always assumed theflow did it because he needed money to pay for college, to the detriment of the PS4 scene. That said, he has contributed to a lot of scenes and I wont minimize his work, he is a very talented person and I am appreciative of his other work. I just think he made a bad decision in this specific instance.

I don't think 50k is a bad decision in any instance, just saying. Seems he did right and got paid. 'We' had to wait ~a year for his release. big crying deal.

who's going to pass up free money especially when you can release the exploit later? remember, people are complaining that they have to spend $7 on a ds game just to use haxchi, so obviously money is important to these people. seems hypocritical to me.

People who are complaining because they have to pay 7$ for haxchi are people who simply do not have access to a credit card to pay online (mostly minors), not because of the price itself.

you know it's possible to be an adult and STILL not have a credit card right?. i'm one of these rare specimen. it mostly involves living in a country that makes it hard to get a credit card

Sorry I didn't mean to appear feeling entitled, I just wanted to point out that sometimes, it's not because people are cheap but rather because they simply don't have the choice (like @Latiodile for instance)

I don't want to get into a big thing here, but you have your opinion and I have mine, so let's just leave it at that. remember: there were several people on here and psx place who were demanding exploits be released or they called them lazy devs. that's true entitlement. it only takes one or two to ruin the entire batch. theflow left because of that.

i don't know why people take such an aggressive stance on exploits smh
i just sit here and am all like "it's either released or it isn't", if it takes too long i'll just update and wait for the next one if i'm missing out on games

but it also helps that i'm a PC gamer that only touches my consoles like once a month, mostly for cleaning off the dust

The only point I'm trying to make is that people have reasons not to buy a 7$ game, that's it. I really don't mean anything else. That's not even an opinion haha.

I don't know either. I don't care too much anymore, because I never played games on any exploited system except the wii u and the minis. I'm liking the switch for what it is. being on disability, I have to spend my money on something (can't have more than 2 grand at any one time), so I think it works out well.

@blawar is right. I let them get under my skin, but considering I can't wash away what I've done personally, I think it's time I no longer be a part of the scene and that I no longer post. this will be my final post on temp. :(

Hehe you reminded me of myself I like helping people and so on ..... and what did we gain? Nothing. It hurt us more than regular people.

in the internet and real life.
