I bought my cat a cat tower. He hates it. When I got my kitten, I introduced him to it early on. Now the kitten has grown up and still loves the cat tower while the big cat still hates it. I think you have to buy it when they’re kittens, otherwise they won’t like it and will prefer a random box.

this is why you toss boxes out as soon as possible with cats, they will sit in it.
Or build a kitty castle out of it.
I recently got my 2 cats a new scratching post as well in addition to the one and scratching barrel they already had.
I'm going to end up a crazy cat man.

This is what I bought recently.... and yeah... my regular sized cats rarely used it after this first photo was taken.

they're sleeping in it daily so far, the old scratching post in a different part of the house and the barrel thingy (it's what they call it idk how else to call it) which is now next to this one, not on the picture, they also still use

My cats used to have such things. They would use it occasionally.
Though they would still use the back door (after about 8 years I wondered if they were close to making their own cat flap hole), the sofas, the curtains, your leg (I think they learned what jeans were specifically), the carpet on the stairs and some other things besides.

Nah, you can still click the links to resolve them, at least on my end you can. The code for image embeds doesn't quite translate, so they show up as links instead.
